  1. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:11 AM) Jon HeymanVerified account ‏@JonHeyman word is, to no one's surprise jimmy rollins took the DFA news "like a pro." #chisox As I said earlier, I would bet that he and Hahn had a handshake agreement to let Jimmy explore his options if it didn't happen here.
  2. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:05 AM) FIFY Because if there are two things that Sox fans are good at, its setting unrealistic expectations and blasting the players when they don't meet those expectations. With Anderson hopefully expectations are tempered. He has a history of faceplanting during his first time at a new level. Most likely we will see a lot of K's, no BB's and probably some nerves in the field. Don't be surprised to see it in the majors.
  3. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:45 AM) Playing time- does Saladino start more or does Anderson? Is Anderson being used more as a PH/pinch run? Anderson is not here to be a bench player. He is the starter.
  4. Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 22m22 minutes ago Source confirms @RobertMurrayBBE report: White Sox in agreement with No. 10 overall pick Zack Collins for slot value ($3.3806M). 38 retweets 32 likes
  5. QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:51 AM) Watch Robin bat Anderson 2nd.... Austin Jackson has been pretty hot since moving there. I don't see him moving.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:45 AM) Honestly, he looked pretty ready to me in ST so I think his offensive improvements make him even closer to being there. He better be put in the lineup immediately. Anderson is not coming here to be a bench player.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:34 AM) I think this is too soon for Anderson. It is way sooner than I wanted, but se la ve.
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) I hope they allow Rollins to retire with some class. He's not major league material anymore. My guess is that they had a handshake agreement to let Rollins go elsewhere if he wasn't going to play here.
  9. The White Sox are a half game from being back in 2nd place.
  10. My guess would be Sanchez comes up before Anderson, but the fact that Anderson didn't play today is eating at that confidence.
  11. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) Cleluis? Is he still around? And yea I dont know Saladino has been pretty brutal at SS here. If Anderson is worse than that he should probably starting taking reps at other positions. Fangraphs disagrees. They have him as a 4.0 dWAR player projected out for the season. That puts him in the top half of SS defensively.
  12. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 09:42 PM) I agree. The real answer to this problem is in Charlotte, maybe send Saladino back there to learn how to play SS again. You really cant have Saladino fumbling plays with this mentally fragile bullpen, Murphy's flyout was not what I would call routine. That game was almost blown. Anderson is not a better defensive SS than Saladino. There is one SS in the entire system who is better than Saladino, and he will never play MLB.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) he also doesn't make the play at home and it is 3-2 and not 3-1, could be a whole different ball game. Denying that would be like denying the sunrise. No doubt. Rollins doesn't even attempt the throw.
  14. The Sox and the Zack Attack!!
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 09:03 PM) Well, right now the projection is a refined, high OBP doubles hitting 20 homer guy who MIGHT end up at 1B/DH and has a fringey arm at catcher. That's fine, nevertheless, if he can consistently put up those numbers. Obviously, MUCH better if he can stick at catcher, though. And the KW philosophy of almost always drafting collegiate players continues. That's been in existence every since the McDowell/Thomas/Ventura/Fernandez drafts. Honel and Jason Stumm were the rare exceptions. But Hawkins and Barnum weren't? Not Corey Zangari? What about Spencer Adams? Tyler Danish not apply?
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 08:58 PM) Guess the Sox think 3 in the first is enough! I am sure that is it.
  17. Or... And this might be crazy... But the White Sox trust Hostetler.
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Saladino is so much smoother and better at SS then Rollins That was all about arm strength. The throw wasn't accurate. It was high and up the line. But it was there in enough time to allow Navarro to get it, and get back to tag the runner out.
  19. Strong throw by Tyler, really nice play by Navarro to go get it, and get the out.
  20. A lot more hard hit balls that inning.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 08:15 PM) let me know when a funny meme tweet in June is actually equivalent to retweeting neo-nazi infographics. alternate response: Or, you could just not make excuses for Hillary.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 08:15 PM) It truly is over. He has to register as a sex offender. This means he'll never hold a full time job. How do people like that survive? You have to have some sort of income to live. The whole world knows he is a rapist. His life is done.
  23. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 07:31 PM) ...maybe that 9th inning last night was the turning point? Regardless, nice to see, finally. I didn't see it mentioned last night, but I will say it tonight. I was really happy to see the 4 runs put on the board last night in the 9th inning. It told me that the team, which down 11-0 could have packed up and gone home, still has the desire to play and be competitive. Glad to see it carrying over til today.
