  1. Put me in team Meh. With out a top 20 headliner, you need all three of these guys to come near their potential to make this worth while.
  2. DeJong is a shitty placeholder. When Monty is ready, he can be benched, cut, or played less.
  3. *READ AT YOUR OWN RISK* https://x.com/ChuckGarfien/status/1768019294338908506?s=20
  4. Mostly because you have been yelling at them for months.
  5. Cool. You are probably wasting your time in this thread then.
  6. Yet it wasn't just the Yankees that fell out of the rumor tree. That sure doesn't seem like "waiting" to me.
  7. At the end of the day I think Getz has had his "if you want him today, this is my price" price out there for a while. If we are getting this going again, I think teams are moving into Getz's "today" neighborhood enough that it is worth listening too. This could well have been a case where guys were trying to see if he would fold early, or if he would hold up.
  8. And it means that other teams could include those types of players and easily beat a Yankees deal in both quality and quantity if they wanted.
  9. I wonder if that means we were looking for a volume deal in lieu of Jones, or if that means those were some of the names discussed. That could be taken either way.
  10. There are plenty of prospects who are drafted at places like CF or 3B and developed the whole way through the system as such. It's just if a SS fails you have more options to go with them. If a 1B fails, not so much.
  11. I was just reading about a team (I think SD) whose entire starting line up outside of C and SP were all former SS prospects who were moved to other positions at some point to get them into the line up.
  12. I can see the pro surgery people exloding as we speak.
  13. The chicken or the egg coming first works either way.
  14. The odds are fair that by the time the Sox could be decent again, that current ownership is no longer in the picture.
  15. Ideally in any Cease deal you would be getting someone who has a ceiling that comes out around Cease's, a LH power prospect OF, hopefully one that can play CF, but if not one that has RF in their future, and then fill in from there. I would love to pick into some of these specific team's Latin American signings to keep the waves of prospects lined up for the next five years, and maybe find a diamond in the rough that is the type of player that isn't quite broken out, but if they go near their potential would be a player that could headline this kind of deal instead of being a #3 or #4. Would have been nice to sneak in an extra draft pick too, but pretty sure none of these three teams fall into that bucket.
  16. Are we talking about losing a draft pick? Because my interest in that is zero.
  17. But are we policing the reporters who police the reporters who police the policers?
  18. Because there are more low revenue teams in MLB than there are high ones, and they would never kick themselves in the nuts revenue-wise.
  19. Yeah, unless it is like a 5-6 player deal loaded with some of their Latin signings in the back or something. The headliners in this deal would be something not worthy of Cease.
  20. It would be an odd time to get a major deal done, but then again, you still have major free agents available and we are closing to opening day than we are pitchers and catchers reporting. If it gets done, it needs to be a home run.
  21. This is where I am. If we don't get Wolcott as a headliner, or like a 6 player deal loaded with 4 other top 10 players (non-Carter, Langford, Wolcott), I am not interested in a 3 player deal from TX.
  22. You spent an entire month mad about this post... to come back with... this? Hahahaha. Go back to bed. Your grudge is just sad.
