It doesn't seem much more complicated than that to me. The phrase "death panel" is pure, naked, unmitigated hyperbole, and portraying it as anything other than that smells like a copout. My point was that if there ever was a point that the government made the judgement that you were not going to get treatment anymore, they have just acted as a "death panel". That's where that stupid idea came out of.
