  1. Great job by Carrasco giving us a chance in this one.
  2. That is #299 For Paulie with the Sox.
  3. Once again, the middle of the order falls on its face. They can't even move up the lead off hit, they need a wild pitch to do it.
  4. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:07 PM) Because I have nothing else to do, and its a fan forum. Expect people like me. Expect reactions like you have been getting for the exact same reason. Nice outing by Galaraga. He could have folded early, but manned up and threw something close to 120 pitches.
  5. That was another nice inning of work by DJ. Way to work around the double.
  6. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) Nope, I'll be gone until Wise is gone. Just to save you all the pain. f*** Wise. People make promises like that all of the time, then find ways around it.
  7. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:52 PM) Horrible call, but it's okay. He would have swung and missed at the curve on the next pitch. If Wise ever plays again for this team, I'm done. You are so full of s***. You'll be here complaining loud and clear.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:48 PM) just tuned in - so I take it Richard couldn't find the strike zone again? He was OK until two outs in the 5th, and then he completely melted down.
  9. QUOTE (Nokona @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) I think once you start having Catcher's Interferences called against you on a pitch out it's reached comedic bad. Although that was a nice hook. Realistically, it was an amazing job by Polanco to make contact in the other box, while not coming out of his batters box.
  10. Catchers interference, we can't buy a break.
  11. Well that was quick DJ. It is amazing how much better he is in a blow out versus a close game.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) Too bad the Reds didn't want to take his contract. Homer Bailey would have been great with the Sox. Or Tampa Bay when we offered him for Edwin Jackson...
  13. Thank God for JD this year. The rest of the team can start pounding the ball anyday now and help him out, I wouldn't be upset with that.
  14. QUOTE (DanksFan @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:27 PM) i wonder how demoralizing it is to go to any of these games except game 1 agaoinst Oakland and game 2 against Cleveland... people aren't gonna keep showin up for this s***... Dewayne Wise.. Give Me a f***ing Break. He is not a ML player. The thing is, we would be fine if the hitters with big names were hitting when it mattered, no matter what DW was doing.
  15. Well half way home 3-1 Tigers. We have got to get the bats going!
  16. Let's hope that DJ doesn't do his usual disappearing act when it comes to inherited runners. We still have a chance, but a basehit pretty much closes that book.
  17. Great innning by Clayton! We need a few more of those!
  18. 32 pitch first inning for Galaraga, and Nate Robinson was up and throwing. That is a nice start, even if we only got one run.
  19. I really hope he asks for it and sticks to his guns, because that might be the straw that breaks this stupid draft system's back finally. I would LOVE to see the draft done the way the NBA does it with very strict and tight price ranges based on where a player is picked.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 12:56 PM) According to Ozzie at his press conference yesterday, Colon isn't leaving the rotation. The DL isn't leaving the rotation technically, because starters don't lose jobs because of injury in Ozzie's world.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 12:45 PM) I think they are waiting til game 2 to announce it, thats why Richard is pitching game 1, so they can have the extra arm in the bullpen, then make a move in between games If Richard doesn't pitch well, someone like Whisler or Gobble is going to get a bunch of innings and be the sacrificial lamb who goes 4-5 innings and gets sent to Charlotte.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 12:40 PM) But has there been in talk of an injury to Bart? Not yet, but I am suspciious on my own. He is still throwing 86-88 and he is throwing NOTHING off speed at all. Once in while he mixed in an overhand curve, but that is about it. For a guy that used to throw 96+, it makes me wonder if that shoulder is still hurting him.
  23. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) I dont even consider Carlos a member of the 2009 White Sox at this point. Seems like he's back to his oft-injured ways of pre-2008... An interesting thought. For as long as we have been without Carlos, it will be almost like trading for a superstar if he can come back healthy.
  24. QUOTE (everafan @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 11:00 AM) Anyone know who has been reassigned to make room for Contreras? After watching his last few starts, I wonder if there is going to be a DL trip for Colon? He has been by far the worst starter lately, and the Sox need the guys in the pen right now.
  25. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 10:00 AM) Give a bunch of stump speeches and interviews? Sure. Run a few commericals, take a couple of callers, and that stuff turns into a four hour radio show.
