  1. He also made it to MLB at least a year quicker than he would have anywhere else, so there is that.
  2. The kid is being a team player no doubt, but if he is really going to be an OF for this franchise going forward, he has some conditioning work to do.
  3. $400,000 a year isn't life time security. It could be kids, it could be waiting until JR and Tony kick on, it could be contract issues, it could be waiting for another desirable job to open up once contract issues are gone, it could be a million things. But people work with shitty bosses all of the time, whether they make $7.25 an hour, or $10 million a year.
  4. Between this and the fact that Vaughn's legs have been bothering him at the end of 2 straight seasons now tells me that Vaughn isn't conditioned for the OF.
  5. It continues to amaze me how simple some people view the world. I know simple makes for better posting, but there are a million reasons why people stay with bad bosses, especially in situations where quitting isn't as easy as walking out of Lowes and next door into Office Max.
  6. He literally did it to Kenny a decade ago.
  7. If he is under contract, he can't.
  8. Josh Harrison is giving us Josh Harrison.
  9. Rick Hahn isn't quitting the industry because of Tony LaRussa. That's absurd as an expectation.
  10. Using and enforcement are 2 different things. We KNOW Jerry is willing to sandbag his own employees.
  11. You ignored the rest of the posted loaded with actual reasons why professionals with things like NCAs and NDAs can't just quit.
  12. It freezes and bogs down a ton for me too.
  13. To be fair, they are in Kansas City. There was no fans yelling into the dugout to wake up Tony to let him know to make a change. Also, it seems funny now that Cleveland was trying to duck this clown show.
  14. Also knowing what happened to Kenny Williams when he wanted to interview with Toronto for a promotion, we all have zero idea if Rick can actually take an interview right now. Quitting won't free him from any non-compete obligations and team control over his future. He may well want to be here. None of us here have any actual idea what Rick Hahn thinks and that works both ways. A lack of a real media presence doesn't help that. But the reality is that this is way more complex than just walking out on your burger flipping job, especially if you want a future in an industry with only 30 similar choices. It's also worth noting that burning a bridge with JR might be the last thing that Rick Hahn does in this industry. We have seen him repeatedly block people from entering baseball who he feels are not worthy of the game. Why wouldn't he do the same to Rick Hahn if he crossed him?
  15. The idea that anyone who has a shitty boss just quits on the spot has always amused me.
