Are there any shortstops available?
Average? No way. The middle infield is to valuable for an average guy to be laying around doing nothing. There aren't enough average IF's to go around. There are a few field/no hit types laying around as others have mentioned.

Schweizer at 19 might be the biggest surprise there. They really like the last draft.- 8/16 Games
Homers or ranking?- 08/16: Astros at Sox. 7:10, NBCSN (CEASE V VERLANDER)
Apparently this is also the free game of the night on mlb.tv- Kiley's Midseason Top 50
The progress the system has made this year has been huge. My hope is really that the reason we were dead at the break is because the franchise believes these guys are the real thing and they weren't willing to sell them short for short term gain.- **Water-Cooler Thread (TV stuff)**
And the whole reason she takes him down is because Jimmy taught her how to use her laptop. That was a stroke of genius.- Meeting Jason and Steve
Then don't go. Problem solved.- Sox record with Anderson, Vaughn, Jimenez, Robert starting…
Tim Anderson has played 374 games in the last 4 seasons, including the COVID season of 2020 and 46 games yet to be played in 2022. Eloy has played 274 over that time. Tim has had his injuries, but nothing like some of these other guys.- That's a Come Back White Sox Winner !!
Bottom line: If expecting a team that was supposed to be a clear playoff team for the third year in a row to be better than 3rd place and struggle to stay over .500 makes me a hater, well call me King of the Haters. Yes, I have minimal expectations of this team, and this hasn't been it through 116 games.- **Water-Cooler Thread (TV stuff)**
Whitaker is great as the main character, but Vince D'nofrio and Giancarlo Esposito are spectacular.- McGuire Throws Shade at Sox Clubhouse
It means he is trolling you. Again.- **Water-Cooler Thread (TV stuff)**
lol, yeah, don't know where that got in my head from ,but this is it... Godfather of Harlem. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8080122/- 08/16: Astros at Sox. 7:10, NBCSN (CEASE V VERLANDER)
He quotes stats of all kinds. The problem has been most of our stats this year have been depressing. That isn't his fault.- Meeting Jason and Steve
Not an awful price for this. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/charities/support/lunch-with-the-sox?partnerId=zh-20220816-676545-CWS-1-A&qid&utm_id=zh-20220816-676545-CWS-1-A&utm_source=cws_community_email&utm_medium=email&bt_ee=yWjNgGgx%2B49aLG7By51J992rNhyHwDwZXb4DsB2C4YOy2Dd0Wq4b9Xw8DdBxh2Bu&bt_ts=1660663871153- That's a Come Back White Sox Winner !!
It's one thing to be happy. It is another thing to use it as an opportunity to crap on the people who aren't happy about having a mediocre team when this should be a clear playoff team.- That's a Come Back White Sox Winner !!
These two posts being right next to each other is spectacular. Forget the fact that the Sox are still in 3rd place to two garbage teams in Cleveland and Minnesota. Forget the fact they are still sixth in the wild card standings. Forget the fact they are 4 games over .500 for the second time all season not being any sort of achievement for a team that was supposed to be in the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. Somehow this is enough to declare victory over. It must be really nice to so easily satisfied. Hooray the Sox aren't even close to achieving what they should have been doing this season!- **Water-Cooler Thread (TV stuff)**
I am struggling with the finale. I hated Jimmy for giving up the 7 years. I have a hard time believing he would do that and am struggling to think of a time he did something similar in either show. I did like the finale overall, as his character just seems to have a charisma that resonates with the slimier elements of the world, and it was fitting that he gets to prison and everyone loves him. I was also glad that they didn't give Jimmy some happy ending arc that just didn't make sense. After all the theme of his entire character is that he can't help himself. He always thought he was smarter than everyone else, and could out think the world. Eventually he was going to make the mistake that took him down, and it was fitting that it was a mistake of impulse (with forcing the break in on the cancer patient), and not a mistake in planning where he was always two steps ahead. As to past this, I have said it before, but Giancarlo Esposito is a great character in a show called Godfather of Harlem. The show is spectacular, and no one talks about it. Incredible cast, great writing, and worth a watch.- McGuire Throws Shade at Sox Clubhouse
TLR career OPS .542- McGuire Throws Shade at Sox Clubhouse
Of course if he got a couple of DUIs he could be running the place.- McGuire Throws Shade at Sox Clubhouse
- Sox won't fire TLR, but would reassign him after season
Based on the moves we have made so far, that sure rings true. Maybe this is a way of edging him out of the day to day at least.- Sox won't fire TLR, but would reassign him after season
Honestly with his previous record, his being assigned is worse.- Sox won't fire TLR, but would reassign him after season
