I see. I do know that you can pay $50k to do the samething on the South Shore. Mostly it is all just freight that does it.

  8. It is kinda funny to go back and read 100 posts of panic on something that never had a chance of happening.
  9. God no. They would be sued for neglegence in a heartbeat.

Wow your trains suck. The South Shore line allows even alcohol. There's groups of us that all bring beer on certian days (usually Fridays) and get plowed on the train ride home.
  11. Oops... I thought that was Ribbie... Sorry
  12. Personally it doesn't surprise me at all. As a matter of a fact if they DIDN'T it would surprise me. The point is the sterotype is out there of Cheney only working for Hali, but where is the stereotype the other way. I keep hearing that Republicans only pander to big business. But here is an example of a Democrat who wants to rewrite the tax code for his own personal gain, just like they are railing against the current administration for. And I work for a company that has no interest in what is best for its employees, neighborhood or the country as a whole. I work for a company whose single interest is profit. Nothing else.
  13. You could just do the right thing, get upper deck tickets, and give away all of that money...

As the resident economist on board, the answer lays in what you believe your free time is worth. If it is worth a lot to you, then your threshhold will be a lot lower. If you are will to sacrifice your free time to get more stuff, then it would be way higher.
  15. And now we know how she got the $195,000
  16. A little tiny loophole in that plan to close tax breaks for corporations
  17. How many of those guys from that farm system are producing anywhere? How about players off of that 2000 team? And what would you have done differently?
  18. But I thought help was on the way?, why does he need my help? And why is is so much harder to be in the Bush camp?
  19. I do understand that the Illinois Sports Authority runs things, but you do have certian rights as a renter, and I would imagine if they tried to bring in someone to share the park, the Sox would be owed something. And it sounds like right now that is 2%, but I wonder if they threw a fit, if they could increase that number?

  21. We haven't had a government actually try to cut spending since daddy Bush was in office. The size of the budget plenty outscaled inflation during the Clinton years, but was dwarfed by the increases in tax receipts. We haven't seen true fiscal responsibility in a long, long time as a country.
  22. Victor's problem is that he has too much movement on his pitches. Nothing is straight. If he had just one pitch that he could count on, he would be one of the best in the game.
  23. Actually the more I think about it... If the Sox could make some kind of a cut, by the Cubs playing at the Cell I am all for it. Expoit them, use them, and get some players for it.
  24. I have always seen those figures quoted, but it wouldn't be the first time I was using an urban legend as a fact either. That is why I want to know for sure.
