Actually if anything it strengthens the arguements for MLK. He lived his religion and beliefs until he died. Also not really mentioned in this was how good the pitching was. Garland only gave up 3 runs working 6 innings (very early in the spring) and then Marte, Koch, and Adkins came in and worked easy scoreless innings. KW did say that Adkins still has a chance to make the team FWIW.
