Espesially since it has been OVER 20 YEARS! I hate to say this, but if things are THAT bad, they just need to close the shuttle program down, and start all over. So you want to give the guy the closers role becuase he has given up a run in 6 IP against mostly B rate competition? You're kidding right? He was horrible when he was up here last year, and that was mostly in easy mop up work, as they avoided pitching him in any pressure situations. In AAA he has a career era of almost 5 in about 300 innings of work. There are probably at least 5 guys who should close ahead of Jon Adkins.

IMO it is the best place to sit when you are learning the game. From up above the game plays out like a blackboard. I LOVE to sit rinkside. I love the sounds and the feelings of the game, now that I understand it enough to know what is going on and what the stategies are.

This is one of the rule changes that has been proposed in the NHL. Right now if a puck goes in offsides the puck has to come out of the zone, along with all of the players, before it can be reentered onsides. The proposal is that if a player is offsides, HE would only have to exit and reenter the zone. I think it would help to add some scoring to the game, as a play could continue, instead of a whole play being scrapped because one guy is in early.

BTW in a video game, it is much more fun to turn off icing and offsides

It is when the puck is shot from behind center ice, by an offensive player, and it goes all of the way down past that teams goalline, and is first touched by a defensive player. If the goalie or the offensive player is the first to touch the puck the icing is waved off, and play continues on.

This is the opportunity that Urbina has been waiting for. An injury to give him an opportunity at a bigger payday.
