What can we expect from our #4 starter?
See I thought he pitched much worse than he record showed. We kinda hid him away from the rough stuff. Instead of using him as a horse, we faced him with lefties and long relief of games that were out of hand one way or the other.

Rob Neyer: Babe Ruth the Best Ballplayer Ever
Short answer. No.

Ozzie's Big Challenge
One thing Ozzie could do well was bunt. He could bunt for a sacrifice and for a base hit. If Willie could pick up that skill he will be dangerous with a capital D.

2004 Spring Training Analysis: The Fifth Starter
It is interesting that no one in the media or organization, except Kenny Williams, has mentioned Danny Wright. I wonder if the guy has a real chance or not.

Sun-Times article about Frank Thomas
So how come no one has had the guts to write an Ordonez rip job because no one heard from him all winter? Or how about a Paul Konerko rip job because no one has heard from him? God I can't wait until they start playing so these reporters have something for real to write about.

Sun-Times article about Frank Thomas
What is this s***? Preemptive trouble making? We all know Frank's history. At least wait until Frank puts his size 16s in his mouth again before writing a rip job about the guy again.

Top Prospects in AL Central
Willie looked like a good basestealer in his time up here. Wasn't he like 13-14? Willies whole problem was getting on base...

Top Prospects in AL Central
He is a terrible basestealer. That is a 50 steal guy, easy, if he would learn how. I wonder about the work ethic of the guy, because of his numbers with all of his raw ability, and the grumblings that the Twins thought about nontendering the guy.

Rob Neyer: Babe Ruth the Best Ballplayer Ever
I think there is no way to argue that anyone dominated the game the way Babe Ruth did. He was hitting more HR's than all of the rest of the teams in baseball. Heck even the Bob Gibson 1.12 era was met by a bunch of guys with an era under 2. When Ruth hit 60's there was no one close.

Suggestions for new banner?
And actually, if that idea doesn't get used for a banner. I would love someone to make that as a signature for me.

Suggestions for new banner?
I actually want to steal from this idea. A pic of TEP, with all of the guys who were on the trading block this year (Maggs, Frank, Pauly, Carlos etc) with the title "Something to Prove"

Buerhle Starting
It is really nice to see that the ego's on Mark and ELo are non-exsistant. It makes me feel better about the pitchers in general.

Anybody else see this?
What. A. Loser.

Corwin Malone
Well that could account for his rough times the last year or so.

Rob Neyer: Babe Ruth the Best Ballplayer Ever
That is a great answer, because that is exactly right. how many pitches today didn't exsist in the Babe's age? How many guys could bring it in the upper 90's? How many different pitchers does an ARod see in a game, when Babe used to see one, two on rare occasion. You can talk about things like strength training, conditioning, offseason play, etc. And we won't even get into steroids and stuff like that...,
