Money hasn't been that big of a deal when it has come to pitching this year. Look at the contracts that Pettite, Colon and even Kelvim Escobar have gotten. That should make Ponson even more attractive, instead he just sits on the sidelines with no interest at all. Geez Escobar got a huge contract as a starter, when he hasn't proven himself for half as much as Ponson.

Personally I have thought all along that Baltimore would make some big named headlines over the winter. They are one of a very few teams with a lot of money to spend and a lot of needs to fill. They have got to make a splash as their attendance has just plummetted the last few years, and they have got to do something to plug the holes and try to draw fans back.

If the guy is THAT good and healthy, why isn't anyone else trying to sign him? It is obvious in this off season that good pitching is still at a huge premium and they are still getting big contracts. No one seems to be interested in Ponson, why?

I like the rookies playing well. Really all it does is screw up their draft pick, but keep in mind the Vikings HAVE to win this game. They are playing their asses off and still losing to the Bears. It just gives me hope for the future.

Grossman looking pretty darned good out there so far, as are the other Bears rookies. Haynes and Tillman amongst others have made big plays. Bears lead 10-3 in the 3rd.
