Too bad these players passion for JM couldn't be translated into their on-field play. I don't think it is so much JM than it is the country club lifestyle JM allows to occur in the clubhouse win or lose.
Exactly. Also, lets not forget these players were making these comments AFTER they knew JM was gone. MB is just worried someone might actually MANAGE him...........this guys turning out to be just like Frank....
We need a manager that isn't going to take losing to the Tigers 2 out of 3 times AT HOME and being swept by the Tigers on the road like it's a lost/swept series to the A's or Yankees.
Yes and again, I respect Jm as a man. I admire that he can be so relaxed and easy going. However, that just isnt a good match for a major league manager, with a team of underachievers.
Jerry would be a perfect bench coach. He is the ideal personality to be the calming voice on the bench while things are going on, to bring perspective and/or a different point of view to the manager.
