  14. 15 SB definately isn't bad for his first season in the MLB. But his speed sure isn't as good as advertised when the Sox signed him.
  15. Swing year for Crede Future may ride on ability to continue late-season success http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...i-sportsnew-hed
  16. Top 50 Prospects http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=4774 You can see the entire list at the link. I just listed the prospects that would interest a Sox fan. Before you ask, McCarthy and Jenks weren't eligible.
  17. Frank is a better hitter than Juan Gone but Gonzalez can actually play the outfield. Frank can't play a position so Gonzalez would be the better bench option of the two. Unfortunately, neither can stay healthy. Is taking a flier on Juan Gone worth maybe $600,000 at the most (what the Indians paid him last season)? Maybe. Afterall, Timo and Ben Davis each earned a million a piece last season and Davis didn't even play. Of course, Juan Gone is said to be a team cancer so that would be enough of a reason not to want him around even if he could stay healthy.

  19. You're assuming that the A's wanted Dye back. They didn't. The A's bought out Dye's contract for $1.5 million because they had other options for their outfield (Eric Byrnes, Bobby Kielty, Mark Kotsay, Nick Swisher, and Charles Thomas). Also, the A's sure weren't going to pick up Dye's $14 million team option.
  20. If you hate Ordonez, I'm sure you will enjoy watching him struggle to hit over 20 homeruns for the Tigers the next few seasons.
  21. Yep, Dye was offered more money by both the Rangers and the Diamondbacks but kept his word to KW because they had a handshake deal.
