The rosters I'm using aren't completely up to date. They are a month or so old. But yes, they are on a standard Xbox memory card. All an Action Replay is is just a standard 8 MB memory card that comes with a special cable that links the memory card to your computer via a USB connection. This special cable lets you transfer rosters and saves (that you download from the internet) from your computer to your memory card. Then, you can transfer the rosters and saves from your memory card to your Xbox's hard drive. The creator of this roster set (Ultimate Rosters) will be releasing his latest update sometime this week or so. This guy makes his roster set for the PC version of MVP Baseball 2005 and then another guy has to convert the roster file for use with Xbox.

Technically, I don't. I actually made my own Action Replay using a memory card, an extra Xbox breakaway cable, and a USB cable. It functions exactly the same as an Action Replay and works with the Action Replay computer program. Here's how I did it... Then, you install drivers on your computer that recognize the Xbox controller and memory card.

Yes, it's a fairly simple process... 1.) First, you need to purchase an Action Replay for Xbox. You can probably find one at Best Buy, Circuit City, GameStop, or Electronics Boutique. Action Replay is basically a memory card with a special USB cable hookup that lets you connect the memory card to your computer. This allows you to transfer files from your computer to the memory card by use of the Action Replay software. Then, you can transfer the file from the memory card to your Xbox's hard drive. Here are some detailed instructions on how to use Action Replay. 2.) Next, you need to download and install the Action Replay software on your computer. Here's the link to download Action Replay Xbox PC Software v1.31. 3.) Finally, you need to register at MVPmods.com and download a roster file. The best Xbox roster set is "Ultimate Rosters." Felix Heredia and Buddy Groom are the only I can think of. Heredia will be suspended for the first 10 days of next season after testing positive for steroids last year.

Borchard, a lefty, and Gload OR Borchard, a lefty, and Bajenaru I think Borchard and a lefty are a sure bet to make the roster. I think the last spot will end up being between Gload and Bajenaru. It just depends on whether or not Ozzie wants to go with a 7-man bullpen.

We're not going to keep two extra outfielders since we already have Mackowiak. It's either Borchard or Grieve, not both.

How does Ozzie's past managing style not predict the future? Is he going to completely change his strategy in 2006 and not go lefty-lefty like he did all of last season? I don't buy that. I doubt Ozzie is suddenly going to change his ways just because he doesn't have Marte anymore. Afterall, we all knew Marte absolutely sucked last year and could not be trusted but Ozzie kept using him in key situations anyways. By the way, nice sig.

Read the article. Ozzie doesn't think that way. And it's pretty obvious if you watched the way he used Cotts and Marte last season. Ozzie really buys into the lefty vs. lefty strategy. I'm hoping we can either find a diamond in the rough or that KW can swing a trade for a lefty in ST. I hope he doesn't have to resort to signing Felix Heredia or Buddy Groom.

Shingo may be headed back to Japan. And I'm surprised that no team has signed Richard Hidalgo yet. I remember wondering who would be a better signing last offseason between Dye and Hidalgo. I think there must be some steroid questions about him though. He owns a career .835 OPS but he stunk in a massive hitter's park last season after the harsher steroid testing and penalties were instituted. Maybe teams are scared off by this. If Hidalgo really didn't do roids, he could be the best signing of the offseason just because of how cheap he will be and the good probability that he will rebound in 2006. He could have a better season than Jock Jones and be much, much cheaper.
