  1. Ozzie will look at the first two but he probably thinks that babip is just some strange English word that he's never seen before. I doubt that any manager uses babip in evaluating his players.
  2. Unfortunately, Uribe's OBP is more important than his ability to make productive outs when it comes to scoring runs.
  3. That's like porn in the Middle East.
  4. Armando Almanza Chad Bentz Javier Lopez Corwin Malone Arnie Munoz Stephen Randolph Paulino Reynoso Rusty Tucker Quantity, not quality.
  5. I just don't see how Uribe is suddenly going to become a high enough OBP guy to make it work. His season high OBP was .327 in 2004 (.331 as a #2 hitter). That's great from Uribe but not good enough for a #2 hitter. This is why that Twins pickup of Luis Castillo was really underrated. Obviously, we had no place for Castillo but a .370 OBP looks damn good from the 2-hole.
  6. Haha, the Bulls are trying to get everyone's hopes up just to crush them in the end.
  7. The ironic thing is that Uribe's numbers may actually be better if he is swinging away while batting second because we know he will likely see more fastballs batting behind Podsednik and before Thome. But Ozzie will want Uribe to bunt more and move Podsednik over which will hurt his overall numbers. By the way, your sig is a sickening flash from the past. I have tried to forget the Koch era.
  8. I think Uribe could get back to around a .325 OBP. He had a .327 OBP in 2004 and a .325 OBP after the All-Star break last season. That would be a great OBP to get from Uribe to go along with his power but it's still not high enough for me to want to see him batting second. I hope it works out though.
  9. But you want guys with good OBP's in front of your best homerun hitters. Pods qualifies, Uribe doesn't.
  10. I'm actually glad Delgado turned down the trade now. Delgado wouldn't have been enough for us to win the division that year and we would have paid a ton in prospects to have him for half a season. He would have left to free agency anyways.
  11. Yep, I'm surprised that KW would consider obtaining him again after that happened. But it was Delgado's right to decline a trade.

  14. It wouldn't make much sense. Dye is the third best hitter among Thome, Konerko, and Dye. He should bat fifth.
  15. In any case, it would be sweet if this guy turns into 2002-2004 Marte. Jenks and Turnbow show that these guys can slip through the cracks.
  16. How does that stuff just appear? Change in delivery?
  17. Wow, 94-97 MPH fastball that could touch 99 MPH. I wonder what he can hit now after Tommy John surgery. I guess none of it matters if he can't throw it over the plate.
