  1. How is this a concern for next year? We now have three guys who can play first base -- Konerko, Thome, and Mackowiak.
  2. If we signed Randle El, he would probably be the best QB on our roster.
  3. Lohse will get more than $2 million from some team if the Twins non-tender him. The market for pitching is insane.
  4. This trade isn't happening now that the Dodgers have signed Nomar. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/reds...nover_unlikely/
  5. It looks like Dan Kolb will indeed be non-tendered by the Brewers. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brew/dec05/378324.asp Of course, since Boras is his agent we won't be signing him.
  6. How sad is it that Chandler got $60 million and Sweetney is playing 100 times better than him? Pathetic. I'm sick of Chandler's wimpy play.
  7. Great stats. Iguchi did get a lot better after the All Star break but still struck out at about the same rate. I could live with the strikeouts as long as he still puts up an .800+ OPS next season like he did after the All Star break last season. I think he has the ability to hit 25 homers and steal 25 bases, although his speed definately wasn't as good as advertised.
  8. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2264252 Nice to see the Indians miss out on Nomar.
  9. Willie in CF? Uhhh, no thanks. Anderson would stay in CF and Mackowiak would play LF if Podsednik got injured.
  10. I'd rather see Owens in AAA and have Borchard or DaVanon as our extra outfielder. Timo had better be gone.
  11. Good point. I still think people here love Bajenaru way too much. I know it's a small sample size but everytime he pitches for us he gets shellacked. His stuff doesn't seem very impressive to me.
  12. There's not much better available unless you trade for a reliever.
  13. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb Would anyone be interested in Dan Kolb or Jim Brower if they don't agree to contracts with their current teams?
  14. No offence but Crede isn't even close to either of those players in terms of talent.
  15. There are still teams that will throw a ton of money at Millwood. Don't worry, there's no way that the Indians will be able to meet Boras' demands with their small payroll.
  16. Is he related to Corroded Vagina?
  17. I think Willie is as good as gone. Ozuna can play second base and provide speed off the bench. Mackowiak can also play some second base. I think when Willie declined to play in Winter ball this offseason and learn how to play shortstop, he earned his way off the team in KW's eyes.
  18. Agreed. Timo has no value. I could see a team like the Cardinals being interested in Willie to be their starting second baseman. They have Aaron Miles, Hector Luna, and Deivi Cruz but they all suck.
  19. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...ack=1&cset=true Timo has trade value?

  21. Sox pitcher aims to stay Contreras' agent says starter `very happy' in Chicago http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...ack=1&cset=true
  22. Robbie Alomar can play the field and we wouldn't even have to trade for him. B)
