How is this a concern for next year? We now have three guys who can play first base -- Konerko, Thome, and Mackowiak.

Great stats. Iguchi did get a lot better after the All Star break but still struck out at about the same rate. I could live with the strikeouts as long as he still puts up an .800+ OPS next season like he did after the All Star break last season. I think he has the ability to hit 25 homers and steal 25 bases, although his speed definately wasn't as good as advertised.

Good point. I still think people here love Bajenaru way too much. I know it's a small sample size but everytime he pitches for us he gets shellacked. His stuff doesn't seem very impressive to me.

I think Willie is as good as gone. Ozuna can play second base and provide speed off the bench. Mackowiak can also play some second base. I think when Willie declined to play in Winter ball this offseason and learn how to play shortstop, he earned his way off the team in KW's eyes.

Agreed. Timo has no value. I could see a team like the Cardinals being interested in Willie to be their starting second baseman. They have Aaron Miles, Hector Luna, and Deivi Cruz but they all suck.
