True, but Jones probably won't have another year like that just like Derrek Lee won't. Thome consistently put up monster years. Of course, he's 35 years old now.

It would be the worst thing. Everett's defense in center field would give up more runs than his bat would make up for.

I would say Ryan. At least he's still young. Wagner is 34 years old and he will be 38 by the time his contract is up.

Look at the homerun factor. That's what killed Loaiza at the Cell in 2004.

The Padres should have signed Loaiza. He would pitch great in that ballpark. Sucky on the road though.

This is a truly horrible signing. Wagner is 34 years old right now. Does anyone think he will still have his 100 MPH fastball or not get injured by the time he is 38 and his contract is up?

Bobby Jenks' value is through the roof. He probably can't wait until he becomes a free agent. Of course, he will have to earn a bunch of saves until then.

Losing Rowand made a lot of people cry. I don't miss Rowand as much as most people but I don't blame them for reacting that way. When the trade went down, I knew it made us better so it didn't bother me much.
