    7-0

7-0? Why stop there? Why not just say they have to go 23-0 the rest of the way to win the division?
  2. The White Sox do a great deal of things like this for charities and such. They don't announce it because Reinsdorf won't allow it to be 'used'. That's one of the things I love about the man and hate at the same time. He'll let all the bashing come his way and won't allow any defense. I do it anyway and he gets upset at me, but I don't even scratch the surface with what he does for Chicago and her people. Exactly. Kind of like Bob Knight.

    Sorry

It's a crack at me and people like me who don't believe in tax cuts for the richest 1%, believe in social programs for people, aren't in the belief of "f*** the poor" etc. It's fun that people enjoy 40 hour work weeks, 8 hour days, etc. yet they have the same audacity to piss on the liberal tradition that brought them these vast changes. What the hell?
  4. That type of scenario sounds more like the Cubs.
  5. I agree. If that's true, then why don't they advertise the hell out of this?
  6. Did you see Lee's double hit the chalk? One day after the contraversy on the North side. How ironic is that?
  7. What's wrong with this? The Cubs ARE striding. It's a compliment to the Sox. In the past, we wouldn't even get a mention.
  8. How long is long enough? The guy's gone. Should the Sox piss off a current player that wants a certain number out of respect for a former player that is still playing, but no longer for this team? That sounds like a good idea. I can see it now: Player: "I want number 23" JR: "We can't give you that number. That was Robin's number, and we love him." Player: "But, he's gone, and the number's not retired." Jr: "Yeah, but we still love him." Player: "He's playing for another team." JR: "Yeah, what a great guy he is. I love him." Player: "Look, I hit 40 points lower when I don't wear number 23." JR: "Yeah, I know, but we just can't do it out of respect for that guy that used to wear number 23 that's no longer playing for us and could probably care less if anyone on this team wears his old number. He's so great." Player: "You are nuts!" JR: "I want to have Robin's children. I love him."
  9. Yeah. My working TV is on top of a TV that doesn't work...but that's in my garage. Does that make me a hillbilly? Because I have a TV room in my garage, with two couches, two lazy boys, a sega system, stereo and fridge filled with cheep beer.
  10. As far as I know, they've been doing this for years.
  11. Damn! Talk about Monday morning quarterbacking. It's a loss. Things didn't go our way. We'll come back and get 'em Friday.
  12. I saw a guy with a sign once that said: "I'll be honest, I'm gonna use it for booze." I gave him some change.
  13. I know it's only noon, but the wind is blowing out to left BIG time right now. Maybe lots of runs tonight?
  14. How about a roller coaster like at New York New York in Vegas!!!
  15. No prob. But, like I said, it's a lot of speculation on my side.
  16. I didn't hear it, but the way I understand it is that they were pretty hard on her because she refused to even be open about the call. She saw it as foul and that was it! They kept at her until she blew up, I guess.
  17. The Cub fans were pissed because she was saying that Alou's hit was foul.
  18. This is entirely too many posts about the Blue Jays logo. Sick. Just sick!

    Sorry

While visiting his niece, an elderly man had a heart attack. The niece drove wildly to get him to the emergency room. After what seemed like a very long wait, the E.R. doctor appeared, wearing his scrubs and a long face. A Near-Death Experience. Sadly, he said, "I'm afraid that your uncle's brain is dead, but his heart is still beating." "Oh, dear," cried the woman, her hands clasped against her cheeks with shock, "We've never had a liberal in the family before!"

    OMG

I know. It just gets old, ya know.
  21. Murph and Fred were talking about that this morning. I guess she got pretty heated. Knowing the Score, they'll probably fire her.

    OMG

That could be the best catch all year! Did you see Sammy's "catch" in the top of the 9th? Big hero with a HR in the 15th. 1 for 6 on the day. My hero!
