All New Soccer Thread ~ All Levels ~ All Leagues

The goal line technology argument will probably come up again, but at the same time, he was offside to start and the flag didn't go up. -

That Spain goal was absolutely filthy. -
QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 09:46 AM) lol remember when you were trying to give P90X advice? Sorry brother, but P90X DOES work - I just had a bunch of clients finish Day 90 yesterday. Losses of 25, 35, 44 pounds. Amazing stuff. I put on almost 10 pounds of muscle myself. If it got stale, the issue aint the DVDs, it's between the ears. We get that you love P90X and you think it's the greatest program known to mankind, but seriously, stop trying to tell people they're stupid if they don't like it. Jeez.

I absolutely loved Mr. Deeds.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:21 AM) I don't follow or care about Boxing, but everything I am seeing on Twitter is saying they think it was fixed so they would get a rematch that would be even bigger than this fight. Because everyone knows a revenge fight to settle a wrongdoing is going to sell mad tickets and pay-per views. Which is a complete joke.

June 9, 2012 - The night boxing officially died. If the Mayweather/Ortiz fight didn't do it, Pacquiao/Bradley did.

Tomorrow's French Open final has a TON at stake. Can't freaking wait.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) Watching Manny Homophobe Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley Jr who trained on a vegan diet. Guess who I'm rooting for? QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:29 PM) Chris Sale Meat

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 01:25 AM) I hear centipedes are good for the home as they eat basically every every other bug. Still, f*** them. I hope they all burn. A-f***ing-men. I hate those damn things. Had one crawl up my leg under my desk once and it freaked me the hell out. 14 wins on this list for me. Honorable mention: 2 - Pizza rolls without stuffing SUCKS. 5 - Manages to happen to me almost daily. 9 - Happens all the time, annoying.

I can't believe we're bringing this up AGAIN. Seriously? Holmberg is in High A.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 12:22 AM) Remembering to turn your chip "off" is impossible. I make it a goal every time I go to keep it green the entire time. No matter how stuffed I am and no matter how annoyed I am with people asking me if I want meat every 20 seconds.

NBA officiating still sucks. And next year, all the rappers will be over the Heat and on the Thunder bandwagon. Let's move on.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) Watched the Django Unchained trailer. I really hope Jamie Fox doesn't ruin this movie. I'm not a fan of him at all but if anyone can make him do it right, QT should be able to. Looks incredible. I can't wait. But I do agree, there's a number of guys I'd rather have than Jamie Foxx.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 03:21 PM) I despise the nepotism picks, but, it seems like Savarise is at least a guy who has put up impressive numbers. And it was in the 30's rounds. Anyone else noticing the school repeats? I suppose it is natural, you can only visit so many schools and players... but you'd think in the modern age of technology, you could diversify a bit. Here are some repeat schools so far: Arizona State: 2 New Mexico State: 2 Delta State: 2 Archbishop McCarthy HS: 2 ASU is a pretty serious baseball progam... but are Delta State and NMSU? That happens a lot with every team. Scouts go to look at one specific player on a team and then another player always catches their eye and they keep tabs. Just the way it works.

Some info on McCarthy: 6'2, 200, SR, 3B, Corvallis, Oregon 2011 1st Team All-SEC 2012 Preseason 1st Team All-SEC SEC All-Tournament Team 3B One of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award Started every game at 3rd base Hit .371 as a junior in 2011, .309 as a senior this year with 5 HR and 30 RBI, with a .394 OBP. Wow, I missed that we picked Thomas McCarthy in the 18th round. I saw him this past weekend in the NCAA Gary Regional. Kid had a nice weekend. That's a solid pick.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) As a graduate of the Georgia Southern MS Sport Management program, go War Eagles!! Todd Greene and Joey Hamilton were legends, and the tradition lives on with Roache and Beck(s). And one of the two most famous I-AA football programs in history, along with Youngstown State and Marshall. It produced the other Adrian Peterson. -

I love our first three picks, and I really like the amount of projecable arms we've selected thus far, especially Hansen. It seems as though they went BPA in Hawkins at 13, then really focused on power arms and middle-infielders. Beck and Hansen could turn out to be steals. -
QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 11:27 PM) As Jason said a few times ago he has big stuff and is a big talent. BA said low 90s fastball and a power curve. They mentioned 'mental issues' though. Ah, missed that post. Good insight. Seems projectable.

I wonder what they see in Jaffe from UCLA. Big kid, but walked 10 and struck out 3 in 7.2 IP in relief this season. Didn't allow a run though. Selected in the 19th round by the Red Sox in 2010.
