  1. He's throwing 90 miles per hour. Sit on the f***ing fastball. What the hell is Walker's job again?
  2. Can someone explain to me what the random font changes with the WGN score strip?
  3. QUOTE(Beastly @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 01:08 PM) I thought I saw Terrero get in there before the tag, but hey, I could be wrong. Fields should have been running home as it was. If Uribe hit that grounder it would have been a double play anyway. It did kind of look like Fontenot didn't see him coming.
  4. Carson Daly got a late night talk-show on NBC?
  5. The umpire was absolutely terrible today. Just brutal.
  6. Yes...now Greg Walker must come next.
  7. I'll be at the game today. Still don't know if it's a good thing. At least I get to see MB pitch. Hopefully not for the last time in a Sox uni. Holy hell, section 128 row 4!
  8. I hate bees with an unequivocal passion.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 10:59 AM) Stars are Blind- Paris Hilton She sings?
  10. I can't believe what I'm reading. Before 2005, this was a big series. Now, it's just another series between a s***ty AL team and a s***ty NL team. After October 26th, 2005, the rivalry doesn't mean much anymore. Sure, the losses suck, but I would be much more upset if it was against the Tigers, Twins, or Indians. To me, the rivalry died when the White Sox won the WS. It officially became moot when Barret punched AJ and Iguchi proceeded to hit a grand slam on the next pitch.
  11. This is fictional. The Yankees did not lose a game before the year 2001.
  12. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 12:06 AM) Then you choked. I've never bowled. I imagine that's hard to do, though. Congrats! You've never bowled? Seriously?
  13. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 11:33 PM) I used to serenade my high school girlfriend to this song..............seriously.............after she listened to it, she wasnt happy. Well, I'd imagine it would be awkward if she liked it.
  14. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 11:28 PM) Hmmm, good players or bad ones? tough f***in choice. I needed that laugh. Thank you.
  15. 1.) Ether - Nas 2.) Madden 2000 Theme - Ludacris 3.) Hotel California - Eagles 4.) Sky is the Limit - Lil' Wayne 5.) Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers 6.) Don't Stop Believing - Journey 7.) Bling Bling - Big Tymers 8.) Symphony No. 5 - Ludwig van Beethoven 9.) Superman - Eminem 10.) You're Beautiful - James Blunt
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 06:57 PM) Anyone else think it was kinda funny that the African-American ranger was black, the girl was pink, and the Asian was yellow? I thought that was funny even as a kid. I always thought that too. But I just thought I was crazy.
  17. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 05:40 PM) He lived in the Dominican for three years and you think that's what makes him Dominican? That's right: he chose to play for the US. There we go. But I don't really understand why you can't consider someone American+Domican. Dominican American! No. Actually, I think the Domincan blood running through his veins is what makes him Domincan. I only mentioned his 3 years in DR because you said born and raised in the US.
  18. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 05:36 PM) Born and raised here. I know we've been over this, though, where you don't consider yourself an American because your ancestors are Serbian, and I suppose you don't consider him an American because of his family. To that I say, There is no answer. You believe what you want to believe. I believe that Rodriguez played for us. He lives here. He's always lived here. He's an American. He moved back to the Domincan when he was 4 and lived there for 3 years. I find it difficult for you or anyone to tell someone else what they are. But I guess since he chose to play for the US, he thinks he's American. So more power to him I guess.
  19. Cubs/Sox series' are not big series anymore. At all.
  20. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 05:08 PM) You're being ridiculous. World ThumbWars Cup. We should make you referee it just for bringing up such a stupid idea. But on another note, I was out with a friend and she started to thumbwrestle me recently. Where the hell is thumbwrestling coming from? And also: What #1 American declined to participate? There were some damn talented players on the USA roster. Let's call Alex Rodriguez the #1 American. He participated. And while we're asking questions, I want to know who let the dogs out Well, considering Alex Rodriguez is Dominican...
  21. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:04 PM) And it would've been great for baseball. What part don't you get? The added attention, the passion of the fans -- great for baseball. How the hell do you gauge success for the WBC? By whether or not Barry Bonds and Mark Buehrle play for Team USA? Give me a break. Hell, if that's your reasoning, then lets have a World ThumbWars Cup. The turnout will be great! But unfortunately, Lichtenstein's #1 thumb wrestler is out due to injury.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 06:47 PM) Justice is served. England loses 13-12 on PK's to the Netherlands and Serbia advances with the 2-0 win against Belgium. Should be a phenomenal final. And I'd love nothing more than for England to miss out on the Olympics by losing to Portugal. Whoops, it turned out to be Italy/Portugal for the Olympiuc match-up, and Italy prevailed on PK's. Serbia looks to have its tean at full strength, except for Rajkovic, who was hurt in the England game, against the Netherlands for the final on Saturday. NED's captain Ron Vlaar will be out due to injury as well.
  23. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 01:30 PM) No it isn't. Plenty of people participated for their countries except for American players, but we STILL had one hell of a turnout.q What don't you get? The turnout has no correlation with the team that is fielded. They could have had an all minor league team and the turnout would still be great.
  24. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 01:24 PM) Who cares about you? Who cares about me? The WBC has nothing to do with us, and we don't determine if it was good for baseball. The rest of the world does. The ratings do. The turnout by fans does. Not necessarily. The turnout is ALWAYS going to be good for any sort of international competition. I'm saying that it's a travesty that so many players didn't want to participate.
