Honestly, I cannot see this team without Paul Konerko next year. It would just be so awkward. Like people have been saying, Konerko is the face of the franchise and the 2005 playoffs were his coming out party. Since 1999, PK has been manning that same 1st base and to see anyone else but him there is just not imaginable. He had grown on me and I honestly think I would cry if he left. If I am JR, I do anything in my right mind to resign PK. Even if the contract may seem absurd, no one can say he doesn't deserves what he is asking for. Great players produce. PK has produced. There is no production greater than leading your team to a championship.

I think that AJ has had a good influence on him. Especially in the playoffs. We haven't had such a close knit group here like we have now. Joe, Po, and Row...do it!

Looking ahead to 2006, I expect big things from Crede. It seems as if the playoffs have helped him mature and get better through experience. Have we witnessed the evolution of Joe Crede? Are we going to see what we expected from him as a prospect coming up in the minors? I, for one, am excited.

When PK said in his speech that the only thing that could shut the naysayers up is too do it again next year, I had the biggest god damn smile on my face. I bet KW's was even bigger.

Interesting how they mentioned it lile twice and then let it go. If a Sox player did the same, they would nag about it all 14 innings plus game 4. GMAFB.
