  1. Another gigantic win. It seems like it's been forever since the Hawks won a low-scoring, 1-goal game. Jimmy Hayes never should have been sent down. The back-check tonight was the difference to me.
  2. I'm down 13 pounds in the last 5 weeks I've been doing my thing. I don't weigh myself very often, but I had to do it last night. 227, down from 240. The results I'm seeing are great.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 20, 2012 -> 06:58 PM) The 3 most difficult things in life: 1. Sleeping 2. Putting a Taco Bell lid on the cup 3. Tying a tie 1. Agreed. 2. Tough. 3. You are not a man.
  4. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 20, 2012 -> 02:08 AM) FWIW Howard went 28 and 20 in the last game. I blame SVG for not getting him involved enough on the offensive end today. I mean Glen Davis, Von Wafer and Quentin Richardson shot the ball a combined 28 times today and made 11 field goals. Ugh. Chris Duhon is absolutely awful. The guy was jacking up 3's like he was John Lucas III.
  5. Instant watching on Netflix has really helped me catch up with seeing a bunch of movies I never have. Watching Good Will Hunting now.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 19, 2012 -> 08:59 PM) Kenny Powers is back!!! Translation: I'm not sure both of us are gonna cum.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 19, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) Oh my goodness. Will somebody please come up with a realistic scenario in which the Bulls can beat Miami 4 times in May? It's scary how much better Miami is this year compared to last. Please clean up your drool after you post. They played the Magic.
  8. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Feb 18, 2012 -> 07:54 AM) JJ threw this up (perhaps literally) on his blog last night: A young and underrated Western Conference Center is now on the Hawks radar, but this, again, is a deal that likely will need to wait until a larger domino falls first. And this would be a fairly significant trade with at least one significant Hawk player or prospect going the other way. The Hawks have had as many conversations with this club as they have Tampa, and as recently as this week about another player. Some of the Hawk players/prospects discussed in return for the other player could eventually be involved in the deal for the center. I saw this center in person recently and was impressed with his effort, intensity and the skill that I have always known was there. Read this on Stuy's site....Brassard maybe?? Brassard has been a name linked with the Hawks for quite a while now. Would be an intriguing pickup, but at what price?
  9. Living in Michigan for 5 years and having to deal with all these Red Wings fans really sucks. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/p...310974659_n.jpg This was posted on my wall this morning by a Wings fan and it boggled my mind. He's a 19 yr old on the hockey team and he did it to kinda rub it in my face as a Hawks fan. The first thing I thought was "They've won 4 Cups in 15 years and have been pretty damn good." Then I said, thats f***ing Hank Zetterberg. Dude has as many Cups as Toews and Kane do, WTF. Then I thought about it some more and realized Wings fans are just a bunch of f***ing idiots. For 15 years, they've been perennial contenders. They've had one hell of a run, but this Hockeytown BULLs*** really upsets me. They "sell out" every game but the Joe is 3/4 full at best most nights. They trail the Canadiens in Cups by 13 and are 2 behind TOR too. In my lifetime (22), they've won 4 Cups. However, people my age have probably only really gotten to enjoy TWO as really true, engaged fans. 02 and 08. That'd make them 12/13 and 17/18. They've been good for as long as they've been alive though, which obviously makes them think that the Red Wings are god's gift to hockey. Every time I get into an argument with one of these people I get "We won 11 Cups, Hawks have won 4. LOL you suck. Yzerman!!!!!!!" and it infuriates me.
  10. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) No. It's time for new movies and new ideas. I agree with you here. But I'd still love to see a remake. Imagine Christopher Nolan with his hand on The Crow?
  11. WAIT, WHAT? MJ wouldn't be as good in today's NBA? Um, he'd average 35 free throws a game. He'd be BETTER in this NBA. Handcheck rule. Period.
  12. I wish someone would remake The Crow.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) Taking into account the length of the season, the Bears collapse this year was still worse. The Hawks could still turn it around and make the playoffs. But at least the Bears had a thumb to blame, there is no excuse for the Hawks. Now they get to visit the best & hottest team in hockey in the Garden. Counting that as a loss, if they can't beat Columbus on Saturday, then I think Q needs to go. Make a change as you head back home for the national TV game vs. STL, then the Wings two nights later. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 12:33 PM) Well, I did say: If the Hawks slide their way out of the playoffs, then yeah it will be worse. I realize how much was Hanie's fault, but the Tebow game & vs the Chiefs had some major breakdowns by the rest of the team too. I'm with Mike on this one, not even comparable. If Toews/Kane got hurt long term and they missed the playoffs, fine, chalk it up to injuries. But the Bears and Hawks situations aren't even close.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) Ok, FINALLY sitting down to watch Moneyball. Wow, I LOVED it.
  15. Ok, FINALLY sitting down to watch Moneyball.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Of all people seriously? Imagine if you were good at basketball and people called you the Bosnian/Croatian Nightmare? Or would you care if people said "Who cares they are all the same?" I dont care about his race, I just also dont think all Asians are the same. Its 2 different things. I'm saying it shouldn't be a topic of discussion at all. I don't care about his race either, and I also don't think everyone is saying all Asians are the same. You're nitpicking way too much. And calling me "The Bosnian Nightmare" is quite a bit different than calling him Super Lintendo. It's more about the pun than it is about what his ethnicity actually is. Jeez. If he cares about it enough, let him come out and say something.
  17. WHO f***ING CARES WHAT HIS ETHNICITY IS!?!?!?!?! Kid can f***ing ball. For f***'s sake...
  18. This might be the worst collapse I've ever seen from my of "my" teams. After how great they started, I am incredibly dejected. It's BAD.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 07:47 PM) Lin's closing in on a double-double. Too bad he's also got 6 TOs. >. It's killing his fantasy line. Not if your league doesn't have turnovers! Woohoo! His FG% sucks tonight though.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) Does something significant happen in Savannah, GA on St Patricks day? I don't get it. Casmir Pulaski day in Sleepy Hollow IL! Yeehaw! Apparently it's one of the best places to go in the US for St Patty's Day. It's warm, on the ocean, the bars have to-go cups, you can drink out on the streets...I don't really know what else there is to say. EDIT: Oh, I guess I forgot to leave out that my best friend lives down there for grad school/coaching. That's the main reason for the visit, not necessarily to get hammered on green beer haha.
  21. St. Patrick's Day in Savannah, GA. SO PUMPED.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 12, 2012 -> 01:15 PM) Fair question but I've always had a harder time running outside compared to running on the treadmill. How's everyone's work out plan going? I'm pretty happy with my results so far(have cut body fat while adding a good amount of muscle) and hoping to get to my ultimate goal within a month or two. It's been a month for me and I'm seeing a lot of results already. Kinda slacked off a little this past week but I was dealing with a cold. Feeling good about myself though. Went back to visit some friends from school this weekend that I haven't seen since DEC and a lot of people commented. Came up with my own little workout program too so we'll see how this works in the next couple weeks. And I feel the same way about the treadmill comment earlier. I'm 6'6 and I feel like I'm covering a lot more ground than what the machine says.
