Way to deliver, Reddy! Fingers crossed.

I'll never understand the lack of love for anchovies on pizza. Especially away from Chicago where the sausage they put on pizza just flat out sucks, a mushroom and anchovy pie is hard to beat.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Mar 22, 2009 -> 12:36 PM) I've heard some people can control their dreams without waking up. Can any of you do that? I mean, I think that would be the greatest thing ever. There have been a handful of occurrences where in the middle of a dream I realize what's happening is so ridiculous so I figure I must be in a dream and then I immediately wake up To a large degree, I'm usually in control of the dreams I'm having just before I wake up. I'm vaguely aware I'm dreaming and i usually try very hard not to wake up so whatever absurd thing happening in the dream can be resolved. With only one or two exceptions, I've never been able to get back into a dream once I wake up and lose the thread of it. Probably the oddest dream I ever had was as a real little kid. In the dream I learned that electricity from wall sockets actually worked because there was FIRE inside the walls of houses and buildings and when you plugged in a plug the fire heated it up and gave you electricity. That's weird on its own, but the dream then went on to reveal that the reason there was fire in all the walls was that the inside of the walls were all directly connected to HELL underneath the ground. The take-home message of the dream was that under no circumstances should you knock holes in walls because if you did then THE DEVIL could come through the holes and get you and drag you to hell. I think that dream focked me up for like 5 years. The first really vivid sex dream I ever had was early on in high school and it involved Annie Lennox letting me do dirty things with her in the hillside seating at a concert at Alpine Valley. Very weird.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 01:05 PM) Did Corg ever say anything that was considered outrageous, but actually came true? Well, Bartolo really did become a big tub of goo. Does that count?

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Mar 19, 2009 -> 08:07 PM) I believe all of it was done by JimH and quickman on the Sox mlb.com troll boards but Steff linked some of it here. That is correct. I thought they were extreme in their quest to destroy corg, even though he was a fraud. My biggest lament looking back on the old Sox mlb.com crew was good old Sat46 not living long enough to see the Sox "make it to the far shore" in 2005.

QUOTE (Texsox @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 11:37 PM) Of course it is that compassionate bar behavior that got me elected as "Soxtalk Drinking Buddy of The Year" Actually, the kids voted for you because you were DEFINITELY old enough to buy them beer.

Moreover, ale was essentially the only beer there was for several centuries before lagers were invented. The guy protesting was an idiot.

I went for Lagoon Creature, but only because I'm taking my class on a collection trip to our lagoon tomorrow. As far as looks go, I'm stunningly handsome and women have to look at me through a pinhole in a shoebox or risk being blinded by my radiance. I'm also very humble and modest.

QUOTE (Texsox @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) With 13 staples in my abdomen, and a lot of swelling, my doctor advised me to stay away from anything funny. Of course I knew I could come here and read what the prof posts Ouch. What happened and when did I miss it? Appendix? C-Section??

This is an Indo-Pacific fish in the flagtail family: It's vernacular common name is "aholehole" and that made me laugh. Like the fish is such a big jerk it can't just be called A-hole. . . it has to be called A-hole-HOLE! I'm sure the name means something relevant in whatever Polynesian tongue it came from, but it gave me a chuckle. Then again, I was up until around 3:30 writing a lecture on finfish evolution, so I was sort of loopy at the time. If I didn't know me, I'd really think I was a nerd.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 13, 2009 -> 03:42 AM) Wendy's definitely has the best burgers, but their fries aren't as good as Burger King or McDonald's. And whoever mentioned Portillo's...YES. Though my favorite carryout/sit down ever is Booby's in Niles. Best steak sandwich I've ever had. you said boobies. . .

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) I'm shocked that lollapalooza could nab Jane's Addiction!!!! I assume that was supposed to be green. I'd love to see the original Jane's Addiction lineup again. I saw them at Mabels in Champaign the month before Nothing's Shocking came out and they were great. Lollapalooza wouldn't be as intimate, of ccourse, but at Mabels you could get close enough to the band to see Perry Ferrell's track marks and that's hard to beat.

QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 02:41 PM) Burger shots are f***ing awesome and I dont care what all the loyal drunken slider lovers say.The shots are better. You're high.
