  1. QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 11:44 PM) ... rhetoric rhetoric rhetoric WHY NO ISSUES? oh yeah cuz your positions really ain't that hot. It's a results night speech. That's not your audience.
  2. CNN has called 11 states for Obama.
  3. Huckabee won 5 or 6 states. Big deal for him.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 11:37 PM) Obama within 9,000 votes in Mizzou with 91%. Wow. I can see why they didn't project. Especially with St. Louis County, St. Louis City and Kansas City most of the votes left to come in. It doesn't really matter though, the delegates will be split about even.
  5. QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 11:00 PM) i don't think you can call UT yet... AP called UT for Obama.
  6. Minnesota goes to Obama. 8 states for Obama, 6 for Clinton.
  7. So that gives her 2 delegates to Obama's 1?
  8. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 08:36 PM) Obama is leading in CT and NJ has less than 1% reporting. it could be that Clinton favored districts are the only ones reporting so far. CT and NJ are Clinton firewall. A loss for Clinton here is a big chink in the armor. That she didn't win those by large margins can't be a good feeling for them.
  9. CNN calls TN for Clinton.
  10. Really surprising is that neither CT or NJ have been called for Clinton yet. Arkansas called for Clinton and Huckabee, unsurprisingly.
  11. The schedule lightens up considerably after this. The next few weeks are favorable to Obama anyway. Not so super Tuesday is Clinton's next moment and there's some breathing room there.
  12. There's a lot of GOP stalwarts who are none too excited about a McCain presidency.
  13. I'm betting its anywhere between 7 and 10 mil in the bank as we speak.
  14. If the exit polls Drudge mentions are anywhere close to true, this is the best possible situation for Obama. Winning where he's supposed to, keeping it close in a lot of Hillary's firewall. I think if these polls hold changes the narrative, and makes Obama the front runner.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 06:13 PM) I think you're wrong on that last part, and I'll point to N.H. as the example. But in terms of their motivation, here's an alternate one...their campaign is out of money and needs any free air time it can get. They aren't out of money. But they're behind in the money race.
  16. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 05:59 PM) I remember hearing on NPR recently that a country wasn't accepting dollars anymore...anyone remember which? It was India. You used to be able to pay in Dollars to get into the Taj Mahal. They now only accept Rupees.
  17. First Wave 2004 Exit Poll Pennsylvania Kerry - 60, Bush - 40 I believe Kerry ended up winning the state 51-49.
  18. Exit Polls from Drudge: OBAMA: Alabama: Obama 60, Clinton 37... Arizona: Obama 51, Clinton 45... Connecticut: Obama 53, Clinton 45... Delaware: Obama 56, Clinton 42... Illinois: Obama 70, Clinton 30... Massachusetts: Obama 50, Clinton 48... Missouri: Obama 50, Clinton 46... New Jersey: Obama 53, Clinton 47... CLINTON: Arkansas: Clinton 72, Obama 26... California: Clinton 50, Obama 47... New York: Clinton 56, Obama 43... Oklahoma: Clinton 61, Obama 31... Tennessee: Clinton 52, Obama 41...
  19. I'm guessing Hillary wins CA by about 3, NJ by 8, NY by 18, CT by 4 or 5.
  20. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 06:39 AM) And he actually had the balls to criticize Congress for spending. Oh, and lets not forget, this budget slashes an awful lot of Dept. of Education programs and funding, while at the same time he's still pushing hard for NCLB. It also cuts Amtrak funding 40% too from 1.3 billion to 900 million, knowing full well that they'll get 2 billion in a veto proof majority.
  21. Dear John McCain, Please stop using my music at your rallies. I'm a Democrat, you aren't. Love,John Mellencamp
  22. Rick Santorum or Mike Huckabee would be as galvanizing to Democrats as Hillary Clinton would be to Republicans.
  23. Anyone who expects Obama to win outright will be disappointed. If he keeps it close, the reality is that he wins.
