  1. And we're arguing because?.....
  2. Like I said, not a real news show.
  3. You'd be surprised as to how difficult it actually is to sue an HMO when they disallow treatment for patients who need it.
  4. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) For you guys this is a game. HEY! Look how many died today! It's almost a source of glee for you guys because you can sit there and point and yell about how we shouldn't be there. This is no game to me Nuke. Just because I'm not in the s*** doesn't mean I can't smell it. I'm working within my party to create the positive change that this country deserves. And I have family and friends over there doing things they shouldn't have to be doing because of a foreign policy that is contrary to what America is and should be. We had three days of "Gee, everything in Iraq is just gonna be great now" all over the news because an election went well in two thirds of the country, after the US Army basically blocked every road in every city to do it. Although this election could be a huge turning point for the Iraqis, it's way too soon to announce everything's just peachy over there. If people aren't reminded that problems still exist, they will never be fixed.
  5. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) I REAAAAAALLLLLLLLLY doubt thats true. On a good night for O'Reilly, he has 2.5 million viewers. At the same time span, CNN might have a million, MSNBC - usually around 500,000. That's a total of 4 million viewers. CBS has the lowest rated network news program. It has, on a bad night, 7-8 million viewers. I never said anything about O'Reilly or HANNITY andcolmes being a real news show. I called it a fake news show. Just like crossfire, scarborough country, the daily show and entertainment tonight.

    Made in Canada

Canada, as much as I love your bacon and beer, please keep the above "celebrities" within your borders. Celine Dion too. Love, winodj.
  7. I would think if this is a war, the violence would be pretty damn important NUKE. Last time I checked, wars weren't fought with pillows and feathers.
  8. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) There's a reason Doctor bills are so high and I believe it's directly related to malpractice insurance, which is directly related to out of control lawyers and lawsuits. Also, I did that based on who the story came from (Canadian Bush hater) and I knew the direction this thread would take (Socialized healthcare) and headed it off at the pass. Is there a problem with that? You go right ahead and take medical accountability out of the picture, but when you have that surgery and the doctor accidentally takes something extra, or the wrong thing to begin with, I'm sure you'll be glad that you have no recourse for your damages.
  9. You act as though Cable News Networks are the be-all end-all. If you put the audience of FOX news CNN MSNBC all together on an average night, you have half the audience, if that, of the CBS Evening News.
  10. QUOTE(Man Of Steel @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) It most certainly is not Yes it is. And 23 other states too.
  11. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 08:58 AM) Just another reason we need medical liability reform. You're the only person I know that can look at a story about how out of control medical bills put someone in the poorhouse, look at a world where you can't swing a cat without it hitting an ad for prescription drugs, or you go to the emergency room and get charged 75 dollars for getting a cup of ice chips (not that I speak from personal experience or anything) and blame lawyers. People don't sue unless their treatment is screwed up. You put your life in a doctor's hands whenever he treats your illness. If he's negligent, he oughta damn well be held responsible.
  12. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) YES! I'm sorry exactly where am I getting that liberal viewpoint on fake news tv shows like O'Reilly and HANNITY and colmes? I'm not. CNN has got the closest to any of that - and that's called Crossfire where there's balance between a left wing hack and a right wing hack. MSNBC has Scarborough Country and didn't they just hire Tucker Carlson - who has his own show on PBS, for Christ sakes. CNBC has Dennis Miller. The so called "liberal media" doesn't have a liberal voice on it worth a damn as far as I can see. BTW: I didn't watch the State of the Union. I was too busy working.
  13. 1000 Posts!?!? In 20 months? Spammer
  14. I wanna make some joke involving the town of Munster, Indiana at this point and tie it into this thread. I'm just too slow to make it. A little help?
  15. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) The perfect example of their tactics is HANNITY and Colmes. They take a giant conservative blow hole who argues with the best of them, and pair him with the biggest dope of a liberal they can find and call it a debate show. Then again, there nothing about Fox News that isn't joke. I watched the debate on CSPAN. No spinning there. Get it right its HANNITY and colmes.

    Sound editing

Cool edit is a good tool to do mash ups, just not the best. You can layer and multitrack easily. But speaking as someone with a lot of digital editor experience, its all about your ear and how it fleshes out.
  17. He didn't have weapons either. To drag up that old argument... and that was our justification for war.

  19. He lost his job. That's appropriate. CIA surveillance is not.
  20. Starting Pitchers this year were 62-43 last year. Nice.
  21. I still gotta love the fact that Packers fans were more pissed off at the fact that he faked the moon to the fans and didn't drop trou in front of thousands.
  22. SkyDome will be a lot harder to change the name of in people's minds. Because SkyDome was a big deal when it was new. Bigger than the Blue Jays. They use to sell "SkyCaps" which were baseball hats that velcroed and folded into golf visors.
