  1. Did you watch the Hanson MTV cribs? They're a little creepy in how into they are to their interior design. I hate to say it but even the music that made them famous wasn't bad at its core. Just completely overproduced and oversold. Sometimes its the package that ruins the music.
  2. I'd make a snarky comment, but I'm just too sad.
  3. Any rookie who leads his team to an AFC championship game doesn't seem like a choker to me.
  4. I love and hate you all. When will the distressed font drama end?
  5. I think changing the NB to ST would help a lot in terms of making it fit the board a little better. Just a thought.
  6. Ah so nice to see so many people willing to eat Ramen for the rest of their lives so they can work in radio. I was you. But now I'm me. Making money.
  7. So Bit Torrent and Gator had a baby? Ew. I'll keep my USENET archive fun. They don't even look for you there.
  8. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jan 23, 2005 -> 11:56 AM) I don't know how much snow we got here (upstate NY), but it was enough to reach onto my car doors. And, I know that as an enviromentalist I shouldn't say this, but: FRIGGIN SALT PEOPLE! The roads are disgusting here, SALT THEM. When the temperature drops below 20 degrees, salt doesn't really work.
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) I heard over the news that NYC is expecting around 20 inches of snow this weekend. Ugh! These pussies act like 20 inches is a lot. I was out spinning my car around to closed stores looking for cigars last night. I had to spend the night in a hotel, my company needed people who could come in for today.
  10. Along the lines of Hersh's article. The Washington Post today has a great story talking about the whole expansion of Defense Department intelligence. The link is here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...005Jan22_2.html The juicy bits are here:
  11. QUOTE(valponick @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) You are easily amused. Anyone have any real response? Do you have a real question? All i see is dots.
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 23, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) Oh, there's plenty of s*** a conservative can be truly outraged about without having to "feign" it. There's plenty of s*** to be outraged about, but the perceived sexuality of Sponge Bob Square Pants wouldn't be one of them.
  13. It concerns me that the people working at a restaurant could be having their teeth fall out in my food.
  14. The bible has been altered all the time. The concept of holy trinity wasn't even introduced until the 5th Century and I believe the Council of Trent. That's a pretty fundamental change for the New Testament. The bible is a living document. That is to say that it has been updated, modified over time through various different editions and translated. Although the basic story is the same, its odd how you can different messages and emphasis from edition to edition.
  15. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) The difference is that the left bashes Bush for being religous and not Kerry. Because Kerry made a point to say that his religion guides him and the constitution guides his policy. Bush doesn't get bashed for being religious because he is religious. He isn't even really that religious, he hardly ever goes to church. He gets bashed for being religious because he runs with a political crowd that is quick to wrap itself in the Shroud of Turin every time there's something to feign outrage about.
  16. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) I already did but I'll put em up again.........just for you. GAME http://www.reclaimamerica.org/PAGES/NEWS/n....asp?story=1147 Game: The ACLU went after a law that was broad and vague. The ACLU didn't set out to legality of Child Pornography. They sought to make sure that an overly broad law was struck down before the tool was used to arrest something else that was objectionable. Your sourcing on the matter quotes the same guy who I believe said that "Hollywood loves anal sex." And it fails to quote a single ACLU paper or statement that says what its position on child pornography actually is. Most likely its because there are no child pornography position papers in the ACLU library. Just a guess. It instead quotes ACLU bashing "literature," to show the ACLU positions. Probably because the ACLU's actual positions doesn't support their argument. Further, just like you can still be a patriot and oppose the patriot act, you can still be against child pornography while opposing a law called "Anti-child pornography law" if the language isn't appropriate. I remember the child molester story when I lived in Michigan City. If you have a public property, you can't discriminate who gets to use those specific facilities. If a sex offender wants to go to the beach in this country, you can't stop him or her. They have a right to peaceably assemble. I know its not popular to defend the rights of convicted sex offenders who have served their time and completed their sentence but if you expect your freedoms to be protected, the less savory in this world need to have theirs protected as well. And your match point is defending the right of someone to sue NAMBLA for cash because it exists? I'm sorry that their son died and they have the right to see justice served on the depraved human being who killed him but that doesn't mean they have the right to sue an organization that some asshole uses as an excuse to garner sympathy and focus attention away from the atrocity he committed. NAMBLA does not advocate the murder of children as far as I'm aware. The ACLU is there to defend the liberties of the citizens who need their liberties defended. Quite often these people aren't the nicest folk in the world, like NAMBLA, pornographers, Rush Limbaugh. But they are people who need their liberties defended, and that's what the ACLU does. It's fine if you're against freedom. It's your right to feel that way. What troubles me the most is that you sit there and quote Bill O'Reilly's show and because you saw one interview you discount every other article on the issue. You consider that show news, and it frankly simply is not. O'Reilly Factor is not news. Neither is HANNITY and colmes. It's commentary and opinion, just like the stuff that you source (Reclaim America) for your arguments. Of course, you'll just say its liberal media and point to CBS whose CEO endorsed President Bush for reelection. But I guess its all liberal media.
  17. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) It sure seems simple enough, doesn't it? But then you get the "damn activist judges" (I thought those could only be liberal) who don't get it and want the Ten Commandments in their courthouse and can't figure out what all the hoopla over it is. Not to mention on their robes.
  18. LOL. That's freakin hilarious. Post of the year.
  19. Nothing. I figured if Drudge could note that, so could I.
  20. I would disagree with you. I think that the fall of the Soviet Union and its satellite states are much more complicated than bankruptcy from the arms race, although that was a contributing factor. But sadly, I'm at work and have a headache so that discussion will have to wait until after the blizzard passes.
  21. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) As much as I hate to admit it I thought his speech was good. I feel really dirty now. Reagan aide Peggy Noonan disagreed. See yesterday's Wall Street Journal.
