He was a draft and follow from 2001, signed right before 2002 draft.
- KC gets Al Levine from Tampa Bay

George must be laughing. I cannot believe Theo gave up only last good prospect for Suppan. Sanchez and Hill will be DP combo next year for Bucs.

You are a good man Rex, glad you can take a joke. BTW, we moved of Spanish board back to the original one, it is doing well. Links on Spanish board available.
-
Chris Young
Eddie Young has an extra year in the minors than Chris Young, giving him first crack. Eddie may be faster, just not as patient at the plate. He is possibly one of best athletes in the org tho.

Jeezuz Rex, your head will be too big to come back to WorldCrossing, you are just a peon over there. :-) Here is one I would do tho, that we discussed on other forum. Borchard and Cotts for Vazquez from Expos. We preferred Borchard and Rauch, but if we had to, I would do Cotts. Otherwise I hang onto him.
-
Chris Young
Born in Sept of 1983, so not even 20 yet, showed promise last year in Rookie league, tho he hit less than .220, he knows how to get on base, is fast and can play OF, he is as good a prospect right now as Nanita, Anderson etc...

Sox Acquire Schoeneweis in 5 Player Deal
Nope, I may have said wrong 1st name, the Sanchez who is a great SS prospect, about only prospect left in Red Sox org.
-
5th starter
Wright pitched an inning in relief tonight.
-
Sox Acquire Schoeneweis in 5 Player Deal
Dumatrait was number one draft pick for Boston in 2000 I think. Wonder is Sanchez may be PTBNL, Williamson could not have been cheap, Cincy needs Larkin replacement, nah, I doubt they got Sanchez, but ya never know.
-
Sox Acquire Schoeneweis in 5 Player Deal
Whoever said Doug Nickle can touch 94, bulls***. Look at his K totals in minors, no way he throws that hard. He is an effective reliever tho. Decent trade, tho I liked Dunn, now he throws harder than either guy we got, but I still like it.
-
2003 Draft Breakdown: 10-1
Cook and Kelly were real stretches, not sure why we did that. Oh well.
-
Cotts Tonight
2 of em in 8th inning tho, if he could go 5-6 good innings, that would be all we need from 5th starter.

I would guess Kanny myself.
-
question about minors
Normally AA is where the class athletes go eventually and many go straght to majors. I would say AA.
-
Robert Valido
The higher up they get the better the fields get. Lets hope the errors are aggressive errors like rushing a throw or making outstanding tries and not letting grounders go through his pickets. My guess is he will be fwine. He has 5 dingers already, that is a lot for that league. Walks, must have a nice OBP. All goodness there.

Minor League Boxes for Saturday
Better not be Rauch, he has not shown much at all this year.
-
Minor League Boxes for Saturday
Myers is an undrafted free agent, gonna be tough to make it, he will have to work extra hard, he is also old for Rookie ball, had a good season last year too at Arizona Rookie League. He hit .333 with a .424 OBP last season. That is impressive, but he was playing mostly against kids 3 and 4 years younger, since he was born in Dec of 1979.
-
Minor League Boxes for Saturday
No one would give up much for Rogo, 1Bmen are easiest position to fill, without power and his inability to get hot enough to go to AA, he is not a commodity.

Trade Completed With Rangers
You know me Rex, I love prospects. I can understand not believing Everett was really needed. I think he was, we needed a LH bat and I like what Everett brings as far as hustle etc... he can even steal a base. I want him down the stretch. I had no faith ARow and Harris could have done it, none at all. They have proved nothing to me. I did not want to take that chance. Besides, I want Everett in LF next year and El Caballo unloaded for a pitcher. And I did like you line :-)
