QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) Three run lead or less for a save plus the tying runs on base or at bat make it the save Good job! Thank you! Hopefully it can continue tomorrow, and the rest of the week... now wouldn't that be nice. I just got back from the game. Great game, minus the bullpen, but hey, a win is a win!

Matt DeSalvo (1-2, 5.40 ERA; 0-1, 3.1 IP, 4 ER VS. White Sox in 2007) vs. Jon Garland (3-3, 3.91 ERA; 1-0, 7IP, 1 ER VS. Yankees) I figured it is my turn to try and turn this team around, as this is my first game thread of the year. Hopefully I bring some luck to the team!!!

We have scored 99 runs this year. 50 of those runs have come from the long ball. I saw this yesterday on the post game show.

I just got off the phone with Cleveland and Milwaulkee ticket people. The people in Mil, said they are getting ready as if the games were going to be at Miller Park. The people in Cleveland said they have not heard anything as of now, and when I told them what the Mil people said, they said that they (Cleveland) are just waiting until the hear something offical. So who knows, I am sure we will find out soon either way.

More info from a guy that has the "inside info." Again, this is from the MLB Indians fan forum, so take it for what it is worth... http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx...s&tid=31330

Keep in mind I got this from the MLB INDIANS fan forum... http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx...s&tid=31328 1. A car sale by a local dealer has been moved from the Miller Park parking lots to State Fair parking lots to make room for the use of the Miller Park. 2. The Milwaukee Police Dept has recived requests to staff Miller Park for crowds between 30,000 to 42,000 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 3. A friend that works for the Pfister Hotel tells me that the room for the Indians have been book through Sunday, he also reports that another of his companies hotels the Hilton is holding room for the Sox for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have an inside source with the FSN sports crew and he is checking in to the status what satellite trucks they have book for the uplink, he thought that the truck currently at Miller Park was listed through Sunday night. Early work has it that on Thursday at 4:00 PM central time ticket sales for the Sox series will go on sale. It is delayed to start after the end of the game being played Thursday at 12:05... Take if for what it is worth.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 11:46 AM) Gio was a first rounder, Buerhle was like a 22nd rounder. They are not just going to rush Gio to the majors and put him in the bullpen where he may or may not get work. They are going to take their time with him and hopefully it works out for the best. Mark Buehrle was a 38th round pick http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/buehrma01.shtml

My grandpa told me today that he said one of his friends was going to watch the sox work out tomorrow morning because it is open to the public... is this true? Has anyone heard of this before? Thanks in advance!

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 10:07 AM) From what I understand, as I tried to do this last year, it's no big deal to get a jersey numbered and lettered... with your own name. However, if you want a CURRENT player, they won't do it. You had to have bought the jersey that way--licensing and all that. I was bummed because I have a few blank ones to which I wanted to add a number/player's name but no can do. Unless somebody knows otherwise! Now if it's a past player, I'm not sure how that works. Your right about not being able to get a current player on your jersey. There is away around that. Go to The Sports Huddle in Lockport, and they will do it there. I had two jersey's done there, and Magglo turned into a Pods, and a Shingo; lol, turned into a Konerko. Ask for the owner of the store, his name is Mike. He is a real nice guy, and he will help you out. Here is the info... http://thesportshuddle.com/ The Sports Huddle 922 E. 9th St. Lockport IL. 60441 815-838-8522

Were going to get Daniel Cabera, Miguel Tajada, and Corry Paterson for Garland and prospects... just kidding... or am i?
-
I don't see what the problem would be if we could get him cheap. He can play GG caliber 1B and CF. He would be able to backup Anderson instead of Mack, and can play 1st to give Paulie a day off.

Report: Iverson will be traded to Nuggets / FOXSports.com Posted: 2 minutes ago On Monday, the Nuggets learned they'd be without one superstar for 15 games. BlogJam... One day after the Nuggets learned they'd be losing Carmelo Anthony for a while, they've reportedly swung a deal to add Allen Iverson. Who got the better end of this deal? Tell us what you think. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hit the boards Nuggets | 76ers On Tuesday, it looks as if they've added a superstar to replace him. According to a report on the Philadelphia Inquirer's website, Denver has reached an agreement on a deal for the 76ers' Allen Iverson. Philadelphia will reportedly receive point guard Andre Miller, forward Joe Smith and both of Denver's first-round draft picks for 2007. The news would come just one day after several Nuggets -- including NBA leading scorer Carmelo Anthony -- were suspended for their roles in Saturday's brawl with the Knicks. I didnt I should have made a new thread, but what about if the LAA trade happens, Vazquez and Prospects for Manny??? Manny makes $14 mil in 2007. Is this realistic? I understand that the defense will not be as good, and that might be an understatment. But the 2-7 of Guch, Thome, Manny, Paulie, Dye and AJ would be unstopable. Thoughts?!!? Should I put the Xbox controller down now?
