  1. I will actually disagree with you about him being better than Eloy in LF. Eloy has much more range, he's just a goofball out there.
  2. You could say the exact same thing about Andrew Vaughn. The main differences between Vaughn and Sheets are age and draft position. If Vaughn was the 2nd rounder instead of the 3rd overall pick, how would your opinion change?
  3. Idk. He's not ready to face MLB RHP yet. Vaughn is a weak side platoon bat for a team trying to win the WS. They can't afford to wait for him to develop vs RHP. Sheets is fine at 1B/DH.
  4. You and I have a different definition of a passable LF.
  5. Yeah I stopped when it came out he was not behind the owners fuckery.
  6. Vaughn gets a better player in return and I believe in Sheets.
  7. I'd rather trade Vaughn than Sheets because they both block each other and Vaughn has more value. What is happening now, is happening now. When will then be now? Soon.
  8. Sheets should be the primary DH this year. They need that LH stick, especially if they're going cheap in RF.
  9. I see that as a positive, honestly. Not a real fan of Vaughn. I don't like that they used the 3rd pick on a guy who is basically 1B/DH only. Madrigal had to be an Ichiro level special player as a hitter and defender at 2B for him to be worth that pick. He was neither and it speaks volumes how they were shopping him last year.
  10. The Sox got all of their major contributors via trade though. They were in a unique situation with Sale/Quintana/Eaton. Also, I think that being back would have helped them as they wouldn't have wasted 1st rounders on limited players like Madrigal and Vaughn.
  11. Already excuse making from the FO propaganda machine......they're going cheap. Fuckers.
  12. If they do Joc it means that they think Colas is close to MLB ready, IMO.
  13. BTW, Cole, Scherzer and Lindor can go fuck off. I agree with that sentiment.
  14. They should be spending right below the tax or be willing to go into it this year and next. A dollar below $225M in tax payroll this year and we riot. ($230M is the CBT threshold for this year)
  15. I swear to god if they go cheap.........I will be in full force blast Jerry mode again
  16. So glad we can talk about actual baseball again. Go sign Conforto and trade Kimbrel, Rick.
