  1. No arguments there. It may be that they don't want to go after Conforto because they think Colas will be ready in '23. I don't like the shitty RF D potential there, but I guess a Rosario/Engel platoon wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
  2. Rosario is Eloy/Vaughn bad in the OF. Absolutely terrible.
  3. This year is the peak of the window. Do whatever it takes. The 2003 team could have won a WS if ownership wanted it to. You don't want that again.
  4. Eddie Rosario would suck unless he's coming to split LF/DH with Eloy.
  5. Given that they're already at $194M they better get close.
  6. They still need a SP so they can stick Keuchel in the pen. I told everyone that was a bad signing, covid season notwithstanding. When do I get my award for correctly predicting that Keuchel would turn into a pumpkin last spring?
  7. LMFAO The state propaganda coming from Merkin has me really nervous.
  8. Yep, let's go win a WS. Robert 4 AL MVP. I think that it should be comforting that they won 93 games last year with Robert and Jimenez missing 4 months each.
  9. Conforto is the biggest no-brainer since Grandal. It makes way too much sense. I really hope JR has learned his lesson about half-assing windows. He's insanely lucky he got one from the 2000s team. It seems he learned his lesson from '94, so we'll see. RF has been a supermassive black hole since Rios got traded. If Colas is MLB ready next year, they can move Conforto to LF and Eloy to DH.
  10. I know Aaron posts here, I forgot what his handle is. Quite frankly the lockout is less irritating than Jerry being cheap during a window. I remember what 2001-04 felt like.
  11. You couldn't trade Jackson for a bag of deflated footballs.
  12. I was a Villar for 2B guy until I saw how bad he is defensively. I'd rather sacrifice some offense and go get Iglesias or Simmons for some better D. Sox have plenty of offense.
  13. The Bears are going to have a metric shit ton of cap space next spring.
  14. If they could swap Vaughn for an MLB ready SP prospect of similar value that would be great.
  15. I'd rather they depend on neither. They can trade both guys for all I care. Just go balance the lineup with dependable players.
  16. I never moved the goalposts. I always said that it was about NOW. Hence the spaceballs clip.
  17. In their ability to help the White Sox in 2022, Sheets offers more, IMO. I see the window as 2022-2024 so I couldn't really care less about what Vaughn might do in 2026. The Sox can't afford to wait on Vaughn to develop. They're better off using him as a chip for someone like Ketel Marte. Don't give him away, by all means, and I do realize his potential is greater than Sheets. But I think his value to the Sox competitive window is as a trade piece.
