  1. Ok I'll stfu. I'm really impatient and not sure what in the actual fuck they're doing rn.
  2. God forbid one of Giolito/Lynn/Cease gets hurt long-term and that's all it takes.
  3. Does anyone seriously think that this team is better than the one that got their asses kicked by Houston last October? The only argument is that a healthy Eloy/Robert would win more games. Any injuries to important pitchers and suddenly you're throwing Lopez and Velasquez out there.
  4. It's possible the Twins and Guardians see the Sox dumpster diving and think the division can be had.
  5. The issue is between Bummer, Graveman and Kelly, that could happen to any of them at any time. That's how it is with sinkerballers.
  6. Aaron Leming retweeted this so I assume it has some legs. Not the guy I'd have chosen.
  7. ^^^^ Hopefully this is a minor league deal and not a major league one.
  8. ^^^^ I think if they're concerned about anything, it's blocking Colas in 2023 but they shouldn't be thinking about that. If the Sox are keeping Vaughn, they need to make the hard choice to let Abreu go after this season.
  9. No arguments. I think that they should not give a fuck about either guy, just fill out RF and worry about Cespedes/Colas later. If either guy forces their hand it will give them trade chips. If either guy forces their hand they can move Eloy to DH and Conforto to LF. Also, signing Conforto allows them to get a year of service time back by stashing Vaughn in Charlotte unless Abreu gets hurt or something.
  10. I don't think they're can't miss options, but I do believe that the Sox believe in both guys, so they might think that one of them will be able to contribute by mid-season.
  11. Ok, must have had some bad info then. Moving Kimbrel is still a must in order to add a major piece and have room for mid-season additions. I highly doubt Jerry is willing to go into the tax.
  12. They're 16M under pending the Velasquez signing.
  13. If he doesn't bounce back to 2019 level, there is a real chance his option is declined.
  14. Let's say this is a $3M signing. That leaves them $13M under the tax (pending Kimbrel, which obviously nobody has any idea what's going on there)
  15. I think they're going into the season with Lopez and Velasquez as the depth. Idk how they're going to carry all of them as I think Lopez is out of options.
  16. If the Twins get their pitching fixed, they become a legit threat to the Sox.
