  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) Bring it on Nashville!!! NYR-PHI going to a shoot out. You play 82 games, and your entire season rests on a shootout, ridiculous. I'm not a fan of shootouts but I think this is pretty exciting. Of course I'm a Bruins fan so I have no rooting interest.
  2. NYR-Flyers go to OT for final spot. Should be fun.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 04:22 PM) Bobby should have thrown the curve to Thome there. A good curve would have frozen Thome. f***, I wish Thome was still here.
  4. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 04:09 PM) IN YOUR FACE GREG!!!!!
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) you really shouldn't have to pinch hit for your 5-hole guy... lol, aint that the truth.
  6. good thing the table setters got on base for the big bats!
  7. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) I think my favorite thing about this is how we were down 2-0 before we even batted and everyone threw in the towel and said game over, then we tie it and everyone is all cheers and what not, now were down 2 again and everybody hates everyone on this team and the seasons over.. Well this team hasnt scored over 3 runs in a game since Monday. Asking for a min. of 5 is really stretching it.
  8. I do remember thinking to myself that BJ looked hurt from the very beginning. Seemed like he was limping around out there with the knee sleeve on.
  9. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 05:14 PM) I'll correct myself. He could never hit, that well. I think that's fair. He's just always been an elite defender, never a great hitter. But yeah, it was wrong for me to speak in absolutes. lol, you have no clue on what youre talking about. Youre all over the place. First you say he never hit well and then say never a great hitter. There's a big middle ground between not that well and great. He was a good hitter. He had 9 years where he batted .275 or higher. Guys who cant hit dont do that.
  10. spoiler If you've stumbled this far on accident then I feel its my obligation to tell you DO NOT order this card. Complete and utter crap. 1. Anderson Silva mocking and toying Maia was all good for 2 rounds but come the 3rd, its time to finish him off and stop disrespecting everyone from Maia, the fans at the event and the PPV buyers. The UFC has to make Silva fight either GSP or a heavyweight to ensure a good fight. If not, the UFC risks Silva doing this s*** for another 25 minutes. 2. Frankie with a huge upset but to be honest, I was completely bored. I watched the whole fight and caught myself going cross-eyed a few times because I was zoning out. I had no clue on who won that fight when Buffer started reading the cards. 3. Renzo and Hughes was a let down. Hughes didnt want nothing to do with the ground. Renzo actually was the better puncher but Hughes' just killed him with those kicks. I really wished Hughes wouldve tried to give the fans an exciting fight instead of trying to outpoint Gracie. Nothing worse than seeing two grapplers engage in a kickboxing fight.
  11. After seeing the pitching staff do everything possible to give this team a chance to win, if the offense just goes down easy over the next 2 innings then they are heartless and gutless.
  12. You just know Gardenhire just sits in his office, looks at our payroll and the old ass players KW/OG bring in and just laughs his ass off.
  13. Thank goodness for a day UFC event tomorrow. Gives me a reason not to watch baseball. Anderson by KO RD 3. I think it will be a competitive match. BJ by TKO in the 4th. Another one sided beatdown until the ref stops it. Renzo by sub in the 3rd. I think Hughes will play it safe to grind out a win and will control the fight until Renzo pulls something out of his ass. Munoz by split decision.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 12:06 AM) Jones 2009 17HR in 281AB 2008 3HR in 209AB 2007 26HR in 572AB 2006 41HR in 565AB 2005 51HR in 586AB Kotsay 36HR from 2005-2009 The man had more HRs in part time last year than Kotsay has had in his best year. That's hardly debatable. Jones has batted .206 since turning 30 years old a few years back. Kotsay is a better hitter to have up to start an inning. Now if it was 2 outs and no one on, then let Jones swing for the fences.
  15. As the great Alvin Mack from The Program once said, "Defense gonna have to pitch a shutout."
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 11:51 PM) If only Rios succeeded at stealing that base... Omar never gets that hit
