  1. I didnt see any mock draft having Haden in its top 10.
  2. McCoy!!!! Well I'm a very happy Bucs fan right now.
  3. Good for Bradford. Guy gets hurt and probably at the time it appeared he royally f***ed his draft position but it works out for him in the end. Seems like a good kid.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 06:30 PM) With Pierre, Vizquel, Kotsay, Teahen, and AJP in the lineup, what's the over/under on ground outs to the right side? I'm setting it at 8.5. I think that'll fly way over by the end of the 6th.
  5. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 05:13 PM) I think 68 teams is dumb, but compared to the alternative this is great news. 68 is fine but instead of going from 65 to 96, the NCAA appears to be going to a slower route to 96. Now its 68, then the NCAA will say lets add another 4. Then when the next contract expires, the field has crawled to 96 teams.
  6. I usually give the NFL the benefit of the doubt but not on this first round weeknight draft thing. The weekend of the draft was almost like a holiday weekend. It was fun tuning in to an entire day of picks. Now just as we get into it, it'll be over. I hope this thing fails big time so we can go back to the old ways. But I am excited about tonight. I really hope Gerald McCoy is a Buccaneer tonight.
  7. How about Arsenal s***ting themselves this weekend? They know they have a chance to get back into the race and they blow a 2 goal second half lead? Amazing.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 09:07 AM) Am I the only one that thinks that the Cleveland crowd has been rather lame? You have arguably the greatest player in the NBA at this time, why dont you act like it? There were times during the Michael Jordan/Ewing/Bird/Magic years that you could barely hear the announcers during the game because the Chicago/New York/Boston/LA crowds were so loud. I think this goes for the entire league. Maybe it's because tickets have become so expensive that the more hardcore fans cant afford to get low level playoff tickets. I remember going to Magic games back in the Shaq and Penny days and the atmosphere would be insane for games in December. I have friends who go to Florida Gator football games (trust me, its loud at those games) and they say the loudest noise they've ever experienced was when Nick Anderson stole the ball from Jordan back in the 1995 playoffs. Just seems like these days fans at basketball games dont know how to get loud. I blame the thundersticks.
  9. Miami sweeps UNC this weekend. UNC is pretty bad this year but a sweep is a sweep. 14-4 in ACC play but not one of Miami's opponents have a winning ACC record. This weekend is at FSU so let the fun begin. I expect a series loss but will be pissed if we are swept.
  10. 20 playoff games. 13 one-goal games. (2 games that werent decided by 1 goal had empty netters. So 15 games have been 1 goal games going into the final 2 minutes or less.) 8 overtime games. This NHL postseason has made me not give two s***s about whats going on in the NBA.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 02:40 PM) well, the early ratings are in and it completely bombed with adults 18-49, their only hope is that somehow the specific demos are amazing, but little chance of that. Doesnt surprise me at all. They only attract the hardcore fans. My friend isnt a UFC fan but he watches all the events with some of his other friends every time there is a PPV because they order it. They had no clue that there was an event on last night. Speaking of those guys, I went to dinner with those guys a couple of weeks ago after UFC 111. It was to a japanese place so we're sitting with a few other people that we didnt know. Well someone in the group mentioned 111 and the person across from us asked if they knew of Dan Severn because he was from the same town as them. The people I was with had blank stare on their face as if thinking, "who the f*** are you talking about?" I had to inform them that he was a 3 champ and HOF'er. It was sad. The UFC is getting big in the US, MMA isnt.
  12. If the event didnt suck enough, this fight killed SF for CBS. 3 fights in 2.5 hours. King Mo and Mousasi was horrible. Mousasi acted like Mo was going to fall into a sub at any point. Weird game plan. Aoki and Melendez was another snooze fest. Aoki needs to stay in Japan and Melendez needs to stay in SF. Neither one of them would be worth a crap in the UFC. Shields with another fight in which he couldnt finish. I dont see the UFC spending that much money for him because he is boring. Henderson should have kept dropping the bombs in the first round instead of going to for position. Henderson looked bloated and old tonight. Basically SF showed they are still second tier when it comes to talent. I'm interested in the heavyweight roster but nothing else. Cant wait to hear what Dana White has to say.
  13. Well atleast sucking will rid this team of Ozzie.
  14. thanks for nothing CQ. Nothing like having a pitcher on the ropes and you swing at the first pitch only to chop in into the ground. No baseball IQ whatsoever by so many of our players.
  15. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) Bulls blowout tonight. you spelled blown wrong.
  16. wow, what a game this morning. United scores with about 20 seconds left in added time to beat Man City and keep the pressure on Chelsea.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) lol. Because our attendance is always so consistent. Youre sounding pretty sad tonight.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) Game is hardly over. Cleveland's bullpen isn't exactly stellar. lol, didnt we hear this last week?
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:25 PM) Beckham's had some really bad ABs with RISP so far this year. Yeah he has. Yet that seems to go unnoticed around here.
