  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 30, 2010 -> 10:56 PM) No Evans/Rampage talk? I know Rampage isnt going to have a lot to talk about after losing. He certainly didnt do what he said he would do. I think the main event for the first 12 or so minutes was a HUGE letdown. Evans just held Rampage against the fence and Rampage couldnt stop it. Then when Rampage finally had the first chance to end the fight, he couldnt b/c he was gassed. Guess he was tired but he was another 30 seconds away from stopping it. Then Evans took advantage of a gassed Rampage to score some damage for the first time since the opening minute of the fight. Major letdown in this fight. Surprised that so many people scream robbery over the Lil Nog fight. I thought Nog eeked out round 1 and won the third. It could have gone either way but it was too close to cry about it. Bisping sucks. He is boring and is nothing more than a gatekeeper. Surprised to see Diego get worked like that. Be interesting to see where his career goes from here. I am looking forward to seeing Evans being on the end of another highlight reel KO. Put I'm sure his gameplan will be to lay and pray for 25 minutes.
  2. My back line would be Dolo-DeMerit-Gooch-Boca. Goodsen comes off the bench if Gooch is tiring.
  3. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 29, 2010 -> 11:11 AM) Can I ask why? I used to like Rampage more than Rashad (by a lot), but that completely flipped after their stints as coaches for TUF. Rampage came off as a real piece of s*** to me, all of the s*** talking and starting fights with guys who are nowhere near his training or ability, plus he was an absolutely terrible coach and didn't seem to give a s*** about his fighters. Rashad seemed to be a very good coach and basically the exact opposite of Rampage. The more I think about it, the more I dont care who wins. I really dont like either so I hope someone gets KOed.
  4. This better be the last we see of Bornstein. That guy his horrible.
  5. Two events in 24 hours with Dream starting in 3 hours. Sakuraba is probably my favorite fighter of all time and I hope he doesnt lose to Rorion's son. Not really excited about 114 outside of the main event. But I think Rampage will catch Evans at some point in the fight.
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 03:01 AM) Joe West just keeps digging himself a hole..... http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=5225554 You can hear his 11 minute interview on 670 The Score, and at around the 2:30 mark he starts talking about how he did not want to eject Buehrle because he is a fast working pitcher....... "As soon as I kicked him out of the game I was thinkin, "Aww, this is great, now how long is this game going to take?", so you know, we aren't looking to kick him out of the game" Seriously Joe? You ACTUALLY think to yourself that you shouldn't eject a guy because he makes the game go by quicker? Wow. He is just scum. I wonder how many plays he calls the guy out just so the game does not take too long.... Actually that quote is pretty funny and almost redeems himself from this situation.
  7. I'm willing to bet that West went into that game knowing he was going to call a balk on MB.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 28, 2010 -> 02:20 AM) Fullertons national seed chances increased with a midweek victory over UCLA, a team it is contending with a national seed for. Now hopefully they can sweep this weekend and things work out. Either way, I like my Titans chances. South Carolina going 0-2 in the SEC tournament should get you guys in.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 27, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) How about boxing the f*** out when Kobe throws up junk. That is twice this playoffs that the Lakers have won when Kobe took terrible shots and his teammates bailed him out. Happens all the time in basketball. Players kinda get caught up watching the play.
  10. Home team is going to win every game in the WCF.
  11. I just dont like the idea that a team might already have a significant advantage going into a game that has nothing to do with the actual play itself. When its 70-80 degrees that's ideal for any football player and there is no advantage if the game is between the Bills and the Falcons. But if the game is being played in the 30-40 degree range between the Packers and Dolphins then there is a team getting an advantage before kickoff. I think the NFL does its best in attempt to even home field advantages out during the regular season. This year the Dolphins play all their division rivals before Oct. 4, two of those games(Pats,Jets) are in Miami when its going to be hot and will give Miami an advantage. Then Miami plays all their division rivals in December and two of those games will be on the road where the advantage will swing to the Pats and Jets favor.
  12. Nothing like blowing a 5 run lead in the 9th to lose in extra innings. 4th time this season we've blown a multi-run lead in the 9th this year. This team is so frustrating. I really cant wait until the season is over.
  13. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 26, 2010 -> 08:03 PM) That was a good series between us (UVA) and you guys last weekend. Look forward to the game on Sat. I'm not!
  14. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 27, 2010 -> 12:44 AM) Wisconsin has field turf, I just like natural grass better. Field conditions are part of the game, most games are played in pristine conditions, but I like to see that a team can play in all conditions. Football is an outdoor sport, being able to play in the wind, rain, snow, mud, matters. They have arena league football, its just not the same as being outdoors. And Ive been to 2 of the coldest games in Soldier Field history, stayed for every minute. It was great. Then why should the Super Bowl be any different?
  15. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ May 26, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) Our team sucks. Depending on how much longer 11 wants to stick around, he might be getting the Bobby treatment soon. Seems like he's already getting that treatment by a lot of posters on warchant. It seems like Martin has just decided not to recruit enough quality arms.
  16. Big win for Miami to beat FSU 9-3 in the opening game of the ACC tournament. That should be good enough to be a regional host now.
  17. Guess Bradley wanted a speed demon. I'd rather have Ching but if we're depending on Findley or Ching then we're f***ed.
  18. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ May 26, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) If Bobby Jenks blows this game, he should never get another chance to close for the White Sox again. This should be his last closing opportunity regardless.
  19. MB should have went ape s*** out there once he was tossed. Someone needs to take the bullet right now for this team and try to light a spark. Who cares if he gets suspended, pitchers getting suspended doesnt mean that much really. Cant wait to see Coop get rung next.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 26, 2010 -> 10:57 AM) This is dumb. The two best teams should have the best field available so they can showcase their skills. The more random luck/shoddy field conditions involved, the worse it is for everyone. Watching a game in snow is cool for about a minute, then you realize it's a terribly played game and it's just garbage football. I want a football game to have the athletes running, jumping, hitting, and cutting to the best of their abilities in the most important game of the year. I totally agree. I dont mind bad weather games during the season or playoffs because thats part of the home field advantage. Just like here in Florida where its over 100 degrees on the field. But in the championship game, I'd like to see it played it in the best conditions possible. But as long as the field is dry and the wind is minimal then all should be fine. But if we have a Tuck Bowl looking game for the Super Bowl then I doubt the NFL will ever go back. And is the new stadium going to have grass or Field Turf? There is no way grass will be able to hold well for the Pro Bowl and then Super Bowl in back to back weeks.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 26, 2010 -> 08:51 AM) Yes he looked awful. I also was disappointed with Holden and Bornstein. Loved what I saw out of Edu (minus his misplay in the last minute), he was all over the place and his versatility is a plus. Eddie Johnson looked lost to me. Beasley looked decent, I'd bring him but he'd be at the back of my bench. Liked what I saw out of Robbie Rogers and Edson Buddle. Herculez Gomez needs to be brought in, he's playing well right now and looked pretty decent last night. Overall wasn't a great night and a few players were disappointmemts but I also liked what I saw out of a few guys I hadnt seen in a while. I thought Holden played alright. I believe it was the first time he played a lot of minutes since breaking his ankle. Rogers did good in his time in the match but its just not his time now. The midfield is too clogged but atleast he showed promise. Bornstein was crap but we're thin at that position. Gomez looked good but I think playing with Ching who played well helped a lot. Ching is a lock IMO and Gomez should be making the team too. Buddle tried hard and showed that speed he has but I think him playing with that stiff known as Johnson kinda hurt. Buddle's decision will come down to the wire. I'd still play Jozy/Dempsey up top.
