Pujols, God's gift to hitting
I see. I can imagine that. I meant more along the lines of the scrutiny of steriods, b/c of the era they play in, regardless of the testing procedures.

Ozzie and the ASG
Thome is not on the ballot, b/c there is no DH. Also, Papi is on as a 1B. At any rate, I don't think Ozzie will be able to completly stack it w/ his guys. Torre didn't excatly stack it w/ his guys either. IIRC, 4 Yankees were voted in by the fans, 2 more by coaches and players, and then Torre took 2 of his guys after representing every team that had no rep.

YESSSSSSSSs Red Sox v. Yankees
I bet they're going to do some stupid full-circle s*** w/ the Yankees-Red Sox series in September, like they had the Duke-UNC game in February on 3 networks. That was stupid. Geez, I'd like to watch SportsCenter or something else during the commercials.

Pujols, God's gift to hitting
I think he can still jack 80 regardless if he is pitched to or not. Put aside Bonds using the juice for a second. In 2001, when he hit 73, he also walked 177 times. I think Pujols can keep it up. The guy is amazing. I think Bonds aside, he and A-Rod have a shot at 800 career HR's if they stay healthy and put up the numbers they have. The only question is do you think they'll deal w/ all the hell Bonds has to deal w/ as they approach the Hammer?

- Burnett leaves game with sore elbow
They were mediocore their entire careers and just played well the contract year- Burnett leaves game with sore elbow
I guess. But someone like Buerhle who has stayed healthy and productive his entire career is someone I would give a big deal. Someone like Brown or Park or Hampton or Burnett have either not had good seasons thru the contract year and/or haven't been healthy- Burnett leaves game with sore elbow
You'd think teams would learn not to give long contracts to pitchers after seeing Mike Hampton and Kevin Brown's injury problems and big contracts.- Home Runs: Back with a vengeance
I completly forgot about that, that's another good point.- Bonds "I can't catch Aaron
I was watching SC last night and they were saying that if it had been someone like Ripkin or Gwynn, they might celebrate such a thing, but b/c it's Bonds they aren't.- Home Runs: Back with a vengeance
Wind Patterns and the World Baseball Classic might have something to do with it as well.- And that's a Bulls winner!
Thank you Eddy Curry and Isiah Thomas. We are 3 years away from our post-Jordan dynasty- Delmon Young throws bat at umpire after...
I saw it on SC. He walked back, and then threw it at him w/ the intent to injure. He should be suspended for the season. Latrell, "I need more money to feed my family" Sprewell got a year for choking his coach, this guy should get a season for hitting an umpire- Cleveland kicks the shit out of Beckett
I hate the Yankees more than the Red Sox, so I'm somewhat pissed- Minnesota's New Stadium
The Twins would get to keep the money they make on parking and concessions as well if they get their own stadium. I have heard Wilf plans to put up 1.5 billion of his own money for a stadium for the Vikings and the Gophers are a sure bet to get their own on-campus stadium- Favre Returns for '06
Good. As long as the Bears still win the division, that just means a lower draft pick for the Packers. I'll be real happy if they suck, since in addition to the pleasure of seeing them suck, Aaron Rodgers will have been blocked another year- Bonds: Passing Aaron not likely
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^- Delmon Young throws bat at umpire after...
LaTroy Hawkins going after an umpire and needing 5 coaches to restrain him and Alfonseca's "Assualt w/ a Deadly Belly" and the excuse, "I slipped on wet grass" still beat this- Favre Returns for '06
I'm glad. Another year of blocking Aaron Rodgers. Another year of playing w/ a s***ty O-line.- Random (but interesting) White Sox Fact
While that streak is impressive, it would be even more impressive if we had the lead at the end of all those games- Illinois's Shaun Pruitt arrested
It says he won't face criminal charges- Bonds: Passing Aaron not likely
He didn't, but when Ron Kittle asked him to sign a few jerseys for him, Bonds said, "I don't do things for white people"- Undecided Rocket won't pitch until June
http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb- Bonds: Passing Aaron not likely
I think he's going to hang around and try to finish this year, since he's making 18M this year. Maybe if he wants the record, he'll sign on w/ an AL team to be a DH next year - Burnett leaves game with sore elbow
