Well it was bad managing regardless. When he wasn't stretched out, he should have been piggybacked w/ Vazquez until he was, and even if B-Mac tanks this year, it's progress. He's got more upside than Vazquez. I'd rather tank w/ a kid, than w/ dead weight. If you're going to blow the season, you might as well cut your losses and get him some work heading into 2007.
I don't think he's the idiot. Thomas got off to a slow start, and was injured for some time. We'd be out of it, if Thome didn't do what he did in April and May
I don't care for hockey. It's too hard to understand, and it's never on TV, b/c Wirtz is a dick. And when it is, it's up against basketball, which I would rather watch anyways.
I have to agree w/ an article Mariotti wrote a while back when we had Soriano for McCarthy. Ken Williams said the goal was to win this year. And if McCarthy is so valuable, WHY ISN'T HE IN THE ROTATION!!!?? Join my group!!
I don't think he's pissed at Ozzie for calling him a f**. He said on ATH the day after he's called worse things when he gets his coffee in the morning, but I'm surprised what he hasn't said is that this team looks like a better version of their 2000-04 teams. At least to me, they do.
The rulebook states that if you have no offical AB's and no sac fly, the streak stays. If you have a sac fly, and no offical AB's, the streak is over. I don't see the fuss over this. Honestly, what would you say if it was a White Sox player in this position??
That's bulls*** that it should end. The rule states if he has no offical AB, and no sac fly, the streak goes on. If he has a sac fly, and no offical AB, the streak is over. Jeter had no offical AB, no sac fly, the streak should stay
Right, but b/c of the added muscle, he could wait back a little longer and still send it yard. What I'm trying to say is that he was able to go yard 73 times, despite all the walks, b/c he was able to see the pitch longer.
