Game Thread: 6/9, 7:35pm vs Indians

Nice win. It was a pleasant surprise to see the Tigers lost that game. Hopefully we are getting back on the right track. -
I am also more concerned about the White Sox. We are loaded with talent, now if we can play to our full ability.
-
All I read was Crede left the game with a back injury. I hope it is only day to day.
-
Haven't seen Anderson in the lineup lately, which made me wonder if he was sent down or will be sent down soon.
-
Kyle McCulloch doesn't sound to bad for the #1 pick. Will have to keep a what on futuresox to see how things come along.
-
Another huge win. Tomorrow we can go for the sweep.
-
THIS WAS A BIG WIN!! YES!!!!

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 11:04 AM) oh dear lord, not montero again. Why us? Why now? I thought the exact same thing when I first read the article. Not Montero again, certainly we have better pitcher in AAA then him. Man do we need pitching help!

QUOTE(brijames @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) This team has lost the edge it had last season. They don't have that fire or chip on their shoulder that they played with last year. I guess thats what happens when you finally win the whole thing. This team is not talented enough to just show up and win. They have to do all the little things, the hustle plays, like they did all last season. I can accept losing when the team at least competes. It's time for somebody on this team to stand up and let it be known this isn't acceptable. I will not be at all shocked if the Tigers come in this week and sweep. They are a hungry ballclub, much like the 2005 Sox. They will make this series out to be a very big deal. The White Sox better get their collective heads out of their behinds and do the same. My thoughts exactly. This team doesn't have the fire in their eyes like last years team. Your statement is right, that's what happens when your the defending World Champions. I don't like the thoughts of the Tigers coming into town, they are a hungry team.

Something I found funny while at the game tonight

QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) Cliff Politte is not funny until he learns how to pitch again. I agree 100% on that. -
That 7 run inning was nice, I hope we can get some more of those.
-
It was good to get back in the win colum again. Bobby Jenks pitched great, I can see putting Anderson in CF but putting Mac in left I don't quite figure that one out either. Either way we got a win finally.
-
We got a 8-6 lead in the bottom of the 8th. Now let's hang on to it guys
-
The bullpen is pathetic, losing 4 straight to teams we should be beating.
-
Let's get some runs!! Time for the bull pen to step forward, let's end this losing streak.
-
It looks like we're 2 1/2 behind Detroit now, since the Tigers came from behind in the 9th to win last night and gained a game on us. A sweep by both Sox teams (White and Red) would be appreciated! Let's get things back on the right track

This road trip was disaster. Time now to get pitching and hitting going at the same time.

What in the world happened to the pitching staff? Losing 3 straight now to Cleveland is pathetic. Thank goodness Detroit is on a losing streak also. -

We need runs and some pitching would help. I wish we could get El Duque from the Mets. -

We need to get things together and play like we should be playing. Losing 2 of 3 to Toronto, and 2 straight to Cleveland is bad. Come on guys win!! -
If we could have won these last 2 games, we'd be back in first place. New York may have found the Tigers weak spot.

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) I think that we have an amazing offense, but were using it the wrong way sure were winning, but I think with the lineup I propose below we could be even better 1. Scott Podsednik-LF 2.Tadohito Iguchi-2B 3.Jimi Thome-DH 4.Paul Konerko-1B 5.Juan Uribe-SS 6.Jermaine Dye-RF 7.Rob Mackowiak-CF 8.AJ Pierzynski-C 9.Joe Crede-3B I think our lineup is about 100% more balanced, and there is no death stretch at the bottom of the order that could kill any rallies I think we had something going last year with the bottom of the order, lets try it again, instead of batting in order of productiveness I like that line up. I would keep Mackowiak in CF, instead of Anderson.

Who sits out during Interleague play?
Baines3 replied to The-Legend-Of-Pujols's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would shift the lineup around, so Thome and Konerko's power could still be in the game. -
Awesome simply awesome!! Pitching outstanding. I'm not a bit surprised that Jim Thome (best trade in White Sox history) hit 2 more home runs. At the rate he is going he might end up with 50 home runs!! Plus the Tigers lose again.
