If we didn't have Jose, I don't know where we'd be. I would put McCarthay in the starting rotation and put Vazguez in the bull pen. If we don't play better then this, the Tigers will maul us.

If any wants Widger they can have him.

This pitching staff needs help big time. Not one of our starters is pitching like they are capable of doing.

I think it is a good move. Glad that Tracey is coming back to the Sox, the bullpen needs the help.

I know were not playing well, but I also get the impression that Joe Bucks just hates the Sox. That was obivous during the AL playoffs and world series last year. Let's get some runs!!! We're a better team then this.

If we want to repeat, the pitching needs to step forward. We can't depend on our power to save us all the time.

Playing Detroit 13 times in the second half, that will determine the division title right there.

The Yankee's are always tough, especially in New York. Sure glad we will have Jose on the mound for us.

The no tolerance policy was something that was badly needed.

I enjoy watching Jim Thome's home runs the most.

I wish AJ could have gotten to play, but I can't blame Ozzie as he don't want to risk injury to him or any of his other players.

I've never been a fan of the home run derby.

Back to within 2 games. Nice pitching by Politte. I hope the Tigers following the foot steps of the 1975 Tigers. That team was also in first place at the all star break then finished in last place!!

It only took 19 innings but we got the win.

18 innings now. Looks like everyone is getting a chance to play. At the rate we're going we may have to put Harold Baines in to pinch hit! (laughing) Wish we could put Harold in the lineup, we'd have the game won. Tigers lost, so we could use this win.

Who ever would want Politte, can have him as far as I'm concerned.

The past couple of games have been rough on us. Thank goodness we have the all star break coming, the pitching staff needs the break. Hopefully Jose will come through for us Sunday and send us to the all star game on a positive note.

Either way the White Sox will be well represented at the All Star game.

I am on the edge of my seat when Politte is pitching. He could have a 10 run lead and probably wouldn't be big enough for him. At least we got a win and picked up a half game on the Tigers. Two more home runs by Jim Thome. Getting Thome was one of the best trades the Sox ever made.

Bobby left me shaking there for a while in the 9th. I guess I have to expect that from him now and then. We got the win and kept pace with the Tigers.
