  1. Closer Sale>Broken Sale. Herm had to of had a say in this and him and the organization have got to believe his arm isnt gonna hold up as a starter. Hopefully KW gets some value back when Matts traded, cant see them keeping both him and Reed...
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) If you take the electric lines to Michigan Ave, leave a lot of extra time. It sounds like all trains will be stopped, and all bags will be checked. I'm comin from Hammond, IN so i'll be taking the south shore to the last stop (which is mccormick place isnt it??)....gonna be such a hassle it sounds like
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) You'll still get some good overtime, I'll bet. I'll take it, engine on my car blew out so I need all the money I can get the first couple weeks to get a new car..I'll be taking the train up there..sounds like a fun time
  4. QUOTE (mr_genius @ May 2, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) uh oh. you're doomed dude. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2012 -> 04:35 PM) He'll get some good overtime. ...Its security in a condo building... Read into it and wow sounds like its gonna be an interesting first week of work.
  5. When is this??? I start a security job downtown in 2 weeks.
  6. Posted this over on talkbears in reference to people not liking the Mcclellin pick because he was undersized, went to a Boise State, and wasnt that productive.....figured id share my research with anyone on this board that fears the same thing. ChaCha answers says the average DE is 6'4" and between 250-290 pounds...an inch shorter than average, I'll take that with the speed he posses. ----- Jared Allen- Idaho State Demarcus Ware- Troy Jason Babin- Western Michigan Jason Pierre Paul- South Florida Those are your 2011 top 4 NFL sack leaders and what college they came from. Not a big school in the bunch. ----- Here are some of his results against ranked opponents 2010 vs #10 Virginia Tech: 6 tackles/2.5 Sacks 2010 vs #24 Oregon State: 2 tackles/0.5 Sacks 2010 vs #19 Utah (Maaco Bowl): 4 tackles/1 Sack 2011 vs #19 Georgia: 7 tackles/2.5 sacks So thats 6.5 sacks in 4 games against ranked opponents.
  7. After stating 49 games at LT, winning the Outland Trophy, and being inducted into the Jewish sports hall of fame, what was the reasoning behind moving Gabe Carimi to RT? Who started the year at LT last year?? If it was anyone other than Williams im interested in the explanation behind it. Carimis got the same huge size and came from the same college as arguably the best LT in the league Joe Thomas. Would love to see the line be Carimi-Garza-Spencer-Louis-Williams next year. That looks pretty solid if you ask me, Carimi is the 1st round draft pick everyone wanted in this years draft.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 10:59 PM) The internets is going to have to change its pants with that Over the Limit Main Event. I just about did as you can tell from my previous posts....IMO The "internet" is a word that Michael Cole made up to refer to people like me that enjoy good wrestling..not just good entertainment. Seldom do you see "chain wrestling" in the WWE, and if youre wondering what that is, go watch that video I just posted and look how action packed that match is, how quick they move from move to move. Heres some more good chain wrestling to feast your eyes on...Thats Cesari(still not even sure if its Cesari or Cesaro/a ...hes Claudio to me) and another guy who is probably gonna get called up to the WWE at some point this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcQUEL2oE_s...D5126EEB339543E Another guy who will pobably get called up this year to get excited about. This is a video of his work in IWA Mid South, the promo I used to follow around NW IN. I was at probably 75 of the matches these clips were took from. Youll see Evan Bourne there. Dean Ambrose is another good prospect that will get called up this year, cant get as excited about him tho as the others only because I havent actually seen him live. The futures lookin pretty bright for the WWE if they utilize these guys correctly and with how over Punk and Bryan are right now, nows the time for them 2 put on great matches with these young guys and get them over. Thats why I mentioned Claudios name in my earlier post about the beat the clock matches. If I was the writer for the WWE (one of my dream jobs) I woulda surprised everyone and had Claudio win the whole thing in a mach vs Ziggler (who I can just imagine selling that super European uppercut sooo good) and then have an awesome match with Punk at the PPV. He'd be soooo over in his first month......but i guess thats to be saved for another day
  9. This was in Highland, IN a wayyyyyyy back in the day I was there in the bleachers, if you pause it at 22 seconds im the guy that looks like a fat los lonely boy in the back bleachers, black shirt...God I hope the let them go at it like this...chain wrestling doesnt really exist in the E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbBsY5PR66A im too stoned to know how to work the internt
  10. I would literally s*** my pants if Cesari wins the beat the clock challenge...Ive seen them wrestle many times on the indy circuit and they work a great match! I groaned when i saw kane and khali...sign...well Punk can carry Orton to a good match... Cesari vs bryan???!!!! please wrestling gods Holy s*** i need to stop smoking YES YES YES i totattly forgot about bryan punk
  11. I ended up goin to hooters to watch it, got there right as the Bryan/Shamus match started, could really care less what happened before that match anyway unless Cesari made an appearance (he didnt did he?)....From what I saw this PPV was better than mania. The Bryan/Shamus match was obviously wayyy better than mania, Punk/Jericho was awesome and better than their mania match, and the Cena/Lesnar match, though a bit of a clusterf***, was just about on Par with with the Cena/Rock. Wonder what they'll do with Brock now?? Feed him to Skip Sheffield (dont know how to spell his new name)?? Maybe hes hurt or they play hes hurt? With Cena gone for awhile what better time to keep bringing in your talent and letting them shine, it looks like its going that route and I'm excited about that! Put the IC and US belt on some of the young guys, let guys like Rhodes and Ziggler go after the world title and I'll be a happy man.
  12. So first row sports is not working, anyone else know a good spot to watch this online??
  13. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) As I stated before Im not here to argue whether CW is capable of playing LT or not. The fact is he isnt playing LT so Im not factoring that in as a possibility unless I hear it from Tice or the Bears. Also, Im not saying LG isnt an important position. My point was that a team wouldnt move a guy from LT in favor of a player who isnt as good, ever. When the Bears updated the roster on their website, they added a T next to Williams name that wasnt there before....im not sayin, im just sayin...
  14. Bears have add James Brown, OG Troy and Ronnie Cameron, DT ODU so far as UFA. Brown was projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round and was the 6th best OG according to CBSsports...sounds like a great pick up Ronnie Coleman sounds pretty good as well
  15. and Roy had 6 or 8 knee surgeries as well so his knee was shot.
  16. What was wrong with Chris Pauls knee?? He came back and is still pretty damn good.
  17. Did Rip play in that last game against the Celtics that they won without Rose?? I dont think he was was he? With that said I think the Bulls still make it to the ECF and even put up a fight against the Heat. Rips been playing real good lately and if we get a few ballsy performances from CJ and JL3 we might even win a couple in the ECF or f*** it even win....theyve already beat both boston and miami without rose and Rip, with Rip back who knows!
  18. 7th Round pick is an All American return man/another CB Greg McCoy from TCU...as a 7th round pick, cant complain. He could end up bein our returner so any kind of contribution out of a 7th is a +
  19. 6th round pick is Isaiah Frey, a corner from Nevada...SI had him as a preseason All American, he lead the WAC in pass break ups, sounds like a good value pick at a position of need.
  20. a 6'!" TE??...still dont like the pick. I know Charles has off the field problems but so does Marshall I guess hes an Aaron Hernandez type guy who does some creative things to get the ball?? I guess it could work?
  21. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) 3 picks left... Positions they should look at: DT - I imagine they will go with a DT at some point, just because there is little depth there (even if Idonije sees more time inside) CB - this is a spot they fortified pretty heavily in FA (Wilhite, Hayden, resigning Jennings), but they still have no youth there TE - Orson Charles (35 bench press reps, and monster competitor, but undersized), and Ladarious Green (4.53 40 for a 6-6 TE is super quick) are both extremely intriguing especially this late. Lets be honest about kellen Davis - hes not a long term answer OT/OG - at this point, they likely aren't going to get anyone that will start, but depth never hurts (while the bears aren't above average at any position on the line - there is actual depth there despite what many people think. Carimi, Spencer, Garza, C Williams, Webb starting, with 3 experienced guys behind them in Rachal, Louis, and E Williams - not saying any of those guys are answers, but should a starter get hurt, theres not a ton of drop off to the backups) Dont be so sure about Kellen Davis, as we all know he was underutilized in Martz system and Tice system will get him more involved. I just looked up his combine numbers and he ran a 4.59 for a 6'6" TE, right around what the numbers you mentioned with Ladarious Green.....BUT with the way the NFL is goin it would be nice to have 2 good monster TEs, could you imagine them grabbing Green and having him 6'6", Davis 6'6", Marshall 6'4", and Jefferey 6'4" all out there at the same time??? have fun with that defenses! With that said I'd like to see a TE, Crick or Zebrie be the pick here
  22. This Hardin guy was brought in for a visit so they must have saw something they liked in him...he was said to be a rising star in 2010 so who knows he could very well still be that rising star. Not gonna hate on the pick till we see what happens with him....He visited with 15 other teams as well so thats a lot of teams that could potentially take him in the 3rd if they saw what the bears saw They obviously weren't lying when they said they were ok with the OL...there were a few games last year where the OL looked pretty darn good, cant find the game by game sack totals or who that effective unit was but I do remember a 3 or 4 game stretch where they looked good. Hopefully they can get that unit out there again and perform. DT is not a GLARING need, I think they just need a big body to throw in there and they can get that in the 4th or even the 5th.
  23. Gotta be Massie, Boykin, Flemming, or Thompson.....Orson Charles would be awesome but not gonna happen
