  1. did i miss the 2nd round or something??? Quick, Wolfe, and Schwartz goin over other WR,DT, an OTs
  2. What does the visits of 2 starting guards say?? I'm goin to bed but lastly ill reiterate that IMO the bears need to take the best OL available next round. If its an OT great, for a 3rd year in a row, fantastic, I wont have to hear everyone complain about Williams being put at a position he never failed at... But if its an OG or Peter Konz I would be ok with those pick as well as IMO Chris Williams can play LT.
  3. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 12:24 AM) As I stated before Im not here to argue whether CW is capable of playing LT or not. The fact is he isnt playing LT so Im not factoring that in as a possibility unless I hear it from Tice or the Bears. Also, Im not saying LG isnt an important position. My point was that a team wouldnt move a guy from LT in favor of a player who isnt as good, ever. I think the fact Eric Steinbach and Anthony Herrera were brought in for visits shows theres a possibility. then theres http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/03/lo...pport_for_.html that article that has lovie saying williams can play anywhere but center
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:49 PM) So let me get this straight. What youre saying is Chris Williams is a good LT but was moved to LG to fill a need and they were comfortable replacing Williams at LT with JaMarcus Webb? First things first, I hope were in agreement that LT is much more important of a position then LG. There is a reason why guards dont often go early in drafts and tackles do. So if you have a guy who is a good LT you would NEVER move him to LG and then put JaMarcus Webb there because as I said LG isnt nearly as important as covering your QB's blindside with a LT. If that were the case Williams would have been the starter at LT from opening day and theyd have used someone else at LG, probably Spencer or E. Williams. The essay you posted from the Bears board isnt really relevant here because Im not trying to debate IF Chris Williams can play LT right now. The point is the coaching staff CLEARLY doesnt think he can or he would be. Had Williams been playing LT then DeCastro would have been a solid pick, but thats not the case. My point is that the coaches like Williams at guard and he seemed to be excelling at the position before his injury and when him and Louis were both playing there was the best our interior OL has looked in years, so Im sure they plan on keeping them there barring injuries. As far as depth goes they also have Spencer and Rachal and Im not sure if they still have Edwin Williams but either was that is a ton of depth for the position. OT on the other hand was a nightmare. Omiyale was possibly the worst OL in the NFL. Webb for the most part seemed pretty inconsistent (Martz's playcalling certainly didnt help) and when we moved Louis to RT after Carimi was hurt he looked awful too. Right off the bat, not having Martz here calling 7 step drops and having Brandon Marshall here will help our OL immensely but the glaring need is at OT. Webb is a ? at best and Carimi is an injury concern and then they have a bunch of practice squad guys at OT currently. So again, thats why it wouldnt have made any sense to draft DeCastro. I just replied to why anyone would want to draft Decastro, I didnt even want him lol (nor did I want Shea). Yes LT is more important than LG obviously but with CW being able to play either position well IMO that leaves the door open to take a LT or a LG...as my posts have said I would want the bears to take the best possible OL available next round, no matter where the guy plays
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:20 PM) Maybe you are right. I think it would be awesome if he could play LT. But Tice obviously doesn't think so, so Williams isn't playing LT unless something drastically changes. Maybe Tice is an idiot, and he is making the wrong decision, but who knows. Those are some of the best DE in the league he went against and he held his own so based off that he should be able to play there...at the very least im not crazy for thinking he can lol QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:21 PM) Zeitler got taken 27th to the bengals Damn missed that....Best available OL will make me happy and theres still some good ones left
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) Chris Williams is not a tackle. End of story. took this from the talk bears board 2008: Drafted to play LT. Obviously injured. Fell behind the power curve for the rest of the season. 2009: Was slotted to play LT, but got moved to RT for 11 games when the Bears got Pace. Note the words, "flip-flop positions." Then finished up strong the last five games of at LT after Pace sucked. Game 1 - Chris Long, 3 tackles, 0 sacks. Game 2 - Clay Matthews, 5 tackles, 1 sack, multiple penalties (his one bad game) Game 3 - No DE did well, and only 1 sack was given up (Kelly Gregg, a NT) Game 4 - Jared Allen, 2 tackles, no sacks. Game 5 - Cliff Avril, 2 tackles, 1 sack 2010: Started the first two games at LT, did well. Then injured his hamstring. And instead of keeping him at the position he was drafted for, suited for, and starting in, when he returned from injury Tice moved him to LG because he needed Williams, who was probably the Bears best OLineman, to substitute for Garza (who was injured). And to pour salt in the wound, Tice thought the best starting five included Omiyale at LT. This can't be stressed enough. Williams did not lose the LT spot. Tice made a bad decision because he was worried about replacing Garza at LG. Instead of keeping Williams at LT and finding someone to replace Garza, he went the other way. He finished the season at LG (11 games). 2011: Started nine games at LG, got injured vs. the Lions, got placed on IR. Never given a chance at LT. To recap... 2008 - Injured 2009 - Got screwed because of the Pace signing, ended up replacing Pace 2010 - Started LT, got injured, then got screwed because he was versatile and Garza was injured 2011 - Never given a shot at LT while Webb sucked ass --------- I'd like to see the bears take the best available OL in the 2nd round if the draft a tackle you keep Williams at guard, if they draft a guard you move CW to tackle, if they draft a center move garza to guard and CW to OT Really hoping Zeitler is there and the Oline next year is Williams-Louis-Garza-Zeitler-Carimi
  7. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) If Chris Williams was capable of playing LT he would be playing LT period. You dont move a good LT to guard in favor of JaMarcus Webb. They dont even need DeCastro if they wanted to move Chris Williams back to LT, they could easily plug Spencer in at LG. Just because you think he can play LT doesnt mean the Bears have any intention on letting him try anymore. I havent heard ANYTHING from any Bears sources about them wanting to move Williams. But I guess you know more than Mike Tice. Woah there, its just speculation that doesnt even matter at this point. Williams never failed at LT, he just had the ability to play LG so they put him there, it was broke down by jason over on talkbears. I Think the bears can do a lot of shuffling on that line and can take the best OL available whenever they decide to take one, C, T, or G. and if youve been following the offseason of the bears it seems like they were targeting an OG more than they were an OT...true story
  8. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) I dont mind the player, just would have preferred to have moved down a few picks to get him. I still scratch my head at people clamoring for DeCastro, that makes no sense. To move Chris Williams out to LT where he was drafted to play.. despite what everyone thinks hes been good at LT when he had the chance to play there
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) Not sure what to say about him. By the way, you like how I scooped that pick A little birdie told me something. Bears facebook? thats where I saw it......def a head scratchier, I remember someone comparing him to clay matthews, if thats true then good pick.
  10. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) I think they were buying time for Jones to move to a setup role. With the sudden implosion of Santiago I'd probably move Reed to closer now and roll dice that Jones is ready to set up. This also means there's no real role for Santiago. I'd probably bring Bruney up to help in easing Jones' transition. Crain and Thornton would be the set up guys.
  11. isnt 666 csn+ on direct tv??? not getting the game, c'mon Sox lets end this EDIT: ask and I shall receive, c'mon Hector quick 123 inning
  12. Maybe not the right thread but does anyone know of a legit free background check online....I'm trying to get my perc card but Im pretty sure I have a silly guilty by association felony on my record.....Only reason im not 100% is because I got a security job in IL before and the guy conducting the interview, whos a police chief in chicago, kept asking his assistant about the results of the background check...so either I dont have a felony, felonies that occur in IN dont count in IL, or he was bluffing about running a background check. 6 years ago I was the driver of a vehicle in which the guy in the backseat shot a kid with a very low powered BB gun and from what I remember somehow I got hit with an Assisting a Criminal and Battery charge....where as the guy who actually shot the kid apparently didnt get squat because hes in the military now
  13. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) you googled none of them, but none of those answers are really encompassing of the questions. for example. I'm doing P90X, but my body fat is already low, so I SHOULDN'T follow the guide exactly. What if you had a client looking to put on muscle as opposed to losing weight? People DO worry about their macros. I have a girl who just couldn't do the fat shredder because she doesn't eat meat/fish. She was getting sick because almost the only thing she ate was protein powder. Not super healthy. But together we came up with a solution that worked for her. And sure the guide is set up for "optimal results" but the guide is also meant for already athletic people. after doing P90X once, I went back and adjusted all my food intake the next time I did it to fit myself better. Others have done the same. Bottom line - everyone's different. Blanket statements like the one you made just don't work. ALL THAT SAID - you can still be successful as an independent distributor for beachbody, as long as you acknowledge what it is you're actually doing, and that you don't also provide coaching but motivation. All you have to do to make money doing this is share your experiences with your friends and family and get them doing it with you. You are right on that front. I was working the whole "I started at 310 pounds so if I can do it so can you" angle, I even had a twitter account that I never used with with screen name obese2ohBeast (or Abeast i dont even remember) so I didnt even really claim to know what I'm doing, I was targeting biggens like me and those who never really worked out so questions about marcos and elaborate stuff like that would probably never show up ......as Ive stated before my biz never picked up (mainly because a week after i started the video card on my comp blew out on me so I shared a computer with 2 other people and dont have a cell phone to be active on social networks which is where your moneys gonna be made, and the fact that all my friends are pot heads) so ive never ran into any questions like you asked but if the time came where I did I'm sure I can find answers
  14. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 06:40 PM) I'm having problems getting to my macros for the day. coach do you have advice on that? I'm a vegetarian but the diet guide doesn't help for that. coach do you have advice on that? I'm having problems landing softly during the jump knee tucks. coach do you have advice for that? I'm not seeing the results I want - should I follow the P90X guide and up my carbs for Phase II or should I stick to the Fat Shredder? coach do you have advice for that? can you answer those questions? If youre following the nutrition guide that you got with your p90x you shouldnt have to worry about your macros. The diet was specifically designed for you as a student of p90x. Get your protein from other sources like tofu or veggie burgers. Focus on bending your knees when you land I myself would just follow whats laid out in the guide as its set up for optimal results. Look at the food decisions you made for phase II of the diet maybe theres something there that you can better. I googled none of those but if push came to shove its an online business and google is your friend, youre not gonna be put on the spot for an answer.....if this was done one on one in person and youre not following a program then things would be different.
  15. Id love to see the bears go 1RD Coples/Mercilous DE 2RD Zeitler OG (best available OL & a teammate of carimi) 3RD Charles TE 4RD Coryell Judie CB 5RD Streeter WR (6'5") 6RD DT/LB 7RD DT/LB Addresses everything....wouldnt mind seein them trading down where I think you can still pick up a solid DE like McClellin, Perry, Branch, or depending where you fall Mercilous might still be there too.
  16. Phil Humbers Rice teammate Jeff Niemann had a no no goin for 4 2/3, how crazy would that have been for those 2 guys.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 01:24 PM) Then you shouldn't be called a coach. You should be called a salesman. What is it that I should know outside of whats already given to me? I'm a motivational coach, I motivate people by my results....and really, youre right, I tell all the people that i try to get to coach that theres really no coaching involved. You post your progress get people who wanna get the same results so you tell them what youre doing and get them to buy the stuff....I really dont see how any outside knowledge is needed. I did p90x, they tell you what workout to do everyday and if you follow the dvd it shows you how to do the moves so i dont need to tell them anything about how to do the workouts or when to do the workouts, its all there. I received a nutrition guide with my order so if they ask me a question about nutrition I can refer to that...If theyre not ready for p90x I know what workout dvds are easier to do so i can recommend one of those and once again the dvds tell you what to do.....I dont need to make up a workout routine for these people as im trying to sell them beachbody dvds and those dvds will make the routine for you.... So as I keep saying its all there for you.
  18. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 08:45 AM) oh yeah dude I'm not arguing the program WORKS. of course it does. It was designed that way for a reason. and no, to be a successful coach you don't have to know anything - you just have to be business and marketing savvy. Unfortunately, because of the way Beachbody's set it up, by calling us "coaches" it misleads everyone involved. People come to you thinking you know more than they do - and if you don't - that's just unfair to them and also to the coaches who actually DO, because it gives us all a bad rap. Meh IMO all the info you need is in the dvd and in the nutrition guide. Youre supposed to be a product of the product so if you know how the product works then you'll do alright. If someone comes to me asks me if theyre doing deadlifts right or something along those lines its not really part of my job, my job, or our job i guess you can say is to tell them about beachbody products, deadlifts are not part of that. If they ask me about nutrition I can tell them what I know from the nutrition guide I got, if they ask me about the workouts I can tell them what Ive been doing. Doing p90x eliminates any outside questions about working you, the program tells you what to do everyday. As far as supplements go, just by looking at what we sell ill be able to tell them what they might wanna buy....Me personally I do know a thing or 2 on how to lose the weight, I was once 370 pounds and got down to 260 in a lil over 2 years so im not clueless but even if i were I think all the info i need is there for me. If its not I was added to a facebook group with 23 other coaches so im sure I can get the info I need from one of them....Its all mute point though now for me as my biz is done for now
  19. Jones looks unbeatable... Whos next for Jones?? Is Anderson Silva still messin around in LHW?? I know he was havin bouts in both divisions at one point so if he's still in there this fight has to happen before Spiders gone. That could very well be the most entertaining fight in MMA history if it were to happen.
  20. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) your job is Independent Distributor. that said, i'm glad you're doing P90X - i think it's truly an incredible program. I really do. How's it going for ya? well youre that too, my coach Tiffany, and a lot of other coaches ive got to know on facebook all have their job title on fb as a fitness/motivational coach so thats where I get that from. I actually injured my knee playing rugby so i havent done anything in 2 weeks but I lost 34 pounds in 6 weeks and i did that by simply following the p90x nutrition guide I got and doing what the DVDs told me to do. No outside knowledge was needed.
  21. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 12:13 AM) gimme 2 more months. I'm actually working with Jason Scheff (in one of the X2 vids right? and did the music?) right now developing my Beachbody Coach biz. Yeah I'm doing it too. Thus my strong feelings about people who do it without knowing what they're talking about... I was working the motivational angle, after all your job title is a Fitness/Motivational coach. The videos and the nutrition guide tell you what to do and what to eat so you dont really need to "know what youre talking about" . Youre a product of the product, you dont really need know anything outside of what the product is teaching you. All youve gotta do is talk about your progress, the progress that youre getting from following the program, and try to get people to do it with you....theres really no outside knowledge needed. But maybe youre right because after 2 months my biz is gonzo, I made 1 ShakeO sale, 1 Brazil Butt Lift sale, and 2 p90x sales (one that I burned for a friend and actually made more than what i woulda got from BB). EDIT that was very redundant, I apologize
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:26 PM) He gets to get inside Kate Upton...same thing. He gets to Phil her up! What a dominant performance by Phil! I remember reading his wiki page last year when he got the starting job and thinking he could end up being at the very least a serviceable 5th starter and boy was I right!
  23. Cant wait for smackdown, the next great indy wrestler ive seen live many a times is making his debut and hes doing so with a rugby player gimmick. As a semi pro rugby player Im very excite to see this... Claudio Castangoli has long been one of my wrestlers, highly entertaining, and highly skilled in the ring....I love the direction the WWE is going with all these legit talented in ring performers like punk, bryan, bourne, CC, Rhodes, and Ziggler to go along with guys down in FCW like Hero, Black, Ambrose to come soon its gonna set up the WWE for some exciting wrestling in years to come....
  24. I drafted Bailey in all 4 of my yahoo teams smh...who do you all think takes the closer job? Yahoo and a few other sites I went to see, to think its gonna be Melancon but Jon Heyman thinks it'll be Aceves.
