QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) Yes, it is... Russia is still a major player in world affairs. In fact, Russia, I predict, will be the final catalyst involved in starting the next 'big' war - and something like this might be enough to set it off. i agree. when the next big one starts, russia will be on the other side, whether openly or behind the scenes.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) Well, in this case, the U.S. hasn't done much to help either. We support sanctions one day, and then the next day we prevent sanctions from hitting anyone except the most pointless, minor figures, for example. the US is not the UN. we contributed the most money. and i guarentee that if we took unilateral action, every lib in soxtalk (along with europe) would be screaming about a bush dictatorship, etc. what more can we do? the UN cannot make a decision without scratching their asses for 3 years. the entire organization is a joke. much of that is due to it's current leadership and the socialist tendacies of europe, in my opinion.

the UN is frickin worthless.

ah, the classic "not in my back yard". it transcends all political boundaries.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,193495,00.html ive been calling this whole thing complete b.s. from the start, and everything that comes out just seems to back me up. if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, how long before it's called a duck?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) So...if you're asking Tex why he's unwilling to extend blame to Carter...are you willing to extend similar blame for our current debacle to the big chair? this has nothing to do with my views on the war. im asking him to use the same standard for carter and bush. with that reasoning, the iraq war isnt so much bush's fault because he didnt militarily plan it. certainly a debacle then....not necessarily right now, not yet at least. since you asked, thats my opinion.
-
tex. you are saying that carter shouldnt get all the blame for that screwup because they planned it. i havent seen you extend our current president the same courtesy, why is that? how you can honestly defend carter is beyond me...he was the worst modern prez in our country's history, and his iran decision has adversely and directly affected our current situation with iran. to me that is indisputable.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) That's great. Cheney says a lot of things. Not all of them are true. Authorization to declassify information is not something that needs to be classified. Show us the executive order giving him the privilege. look, to counter his point, all you are doing is calling cheney a liar. its not an argument when all you are doing is saying the other person's points are lies. i dont think cheney lied, because if he had written consent, then he must have a piece of paper signed by the prez that gave him express permission, which he should be able to produce if he is asked to. i have no idea if he has already presented this document or not, but if hes willing to say that he had signed permission, then he must have it, or he is risking being caught in a lie that would force his resignation. whether its a lovely and friendly democrat or an evil and hateful republican, no politician is that dumb.

that girl on the motorcycle who went there took some absolutely amazing photos.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) Which tells you more about Drudge than it does the Gym Teacher, or Jenna Bush, or anything else. are you kidding?? drudge has a great site, i enjoy it a lot. hes not as sleazy as you think. politics aside, you can find political news first on his site some of the time.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:39 PM) http://iran.theatlantic.com/interactive_article_page_1.html A history of the "Desert One" rescue mission. man, dont get me started on that pussy. what a debacle. i dont want to turn this into a "worst prez in recent/contemporary US history" thread, but i will just say that I will always prefer a prez who (arguably, and i stress the word arguably) does too much than a uterus that does too little.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 05:35 PM) BTW, is this news? Really? On the scale of things to cover, is some gym teacher really worth the ink? apparently, to drudge it was
-
http://www.drudgereport.com/flash5.htm what is it with high school teachers and gym instructers? i dont know anyone that goes to a spinning lesson to hear the teachers personal politics. why cant these people focus on actually doing their job, instead of vilifying the president all the time? TEACH YOUR CLASS

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 05:19 PM) This has been known for a long time, Sb. But for the assault he'd get 180 days and (for his family) pocket change. You're telling me that if he fesses up for raping someone he'll get a better deal than that? you are right. finnerty will be convicted of a felonious assault in a completely unrelated incident. yeah, it will make him look bad at the rape trial, but that doesnt change the fact that the strippers alleging this are money-hungry liars and that this case is complete b.s. from what we have seen thus far. soxbadger is acting like either of them have a chance of being convicted. in my humble opinion, we havent seen a single fact yet to show that this entire trial's purpose is for some lying strippers to get money (s***, she already has a scholarship) and a DA to get re-elected.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:30 PM) The Sun-Times is running this promotion; the Trib owns the Cubs. its a front. the cubs will get the money anyway. and the freemasons are behind that; and the illuminati behind that.

anderson just hit that homer off of guardado to tie the game. therefore, this thread needs to be erased immediately.

QUOTE(CanadianSoxFan @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:34 PM) So none of you guys are having the same problem I am with MLB.tv? would that problem be that mlb.com is streaming the FSN northwest homo announcers instead of hawk and DJ tonight? if so, i am having the same problem

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) Ibanez absolutely destroys Garland/Sox in these situations. One of the tougher outs vs the Sox. ibanez can kiss my ass. nice pop out on the 1st pitch, raul.
