  1. how do you let that happen? seriously?
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) It's both kind of a hassle and kinda cheesy for all the time and money you'll spend doing it. Who gets the cash anyway? the god damn cubs, thats who. thats why i wont buy s***. plus, i dont even live in illinois.
  3. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) Todays politics of sex Know your partner Receive clear permission Be certain a new partner, or probably any partner, is sober enough to offer consent Don't have sex with a psycho who may later turn on you. No matter what, don't leave DNA unless you are trying to reproduce It isn't a bad thing. whats all this bulls*** about being careful and cautious? anyone ever heard of pulling out? hello?
  4. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) Friend: Leaker Categorically Denies Leak http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12466719/site/newsweek/ you forgot to mention that he failed his polygraph. that f***ers guilty and ought to be brought up on charges.
  5. this sounds like a story from the onion. politicians never cease to amaze.
  6. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) Friday, the Chicago Trib reported that just 6 in 100 Chicago Public H.S. freshmen will go on to get a college degree. Also, 67% of Chicago 4th graders test below grade level in reading. The Fed spends 53 billion on public education every year. A good place to start would be to blow up the Dept. of Education. The only remaining element should be a national test, written in English, that qualifies you to move out of 4th, 8th and 12th grade. on a positive note, i probably wont be competing for a job with anyone from the metro chicago area anytime in the next ten years or so. sweet!
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,192565,00.html i told you all this story was complete bulls*** and was called an idiot, a racist, and i cant remember what else. well, i was right, so eat crow! edit: im not totaly serious, but even if this story doesnt convince you, it does for me, since this other stripper (who looks disgusting) is now changing her s*** up so she can jump on this gravy train.
  8. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2415914 think he may actually be injured? (cause i sure as hell do)
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) 1950's. There was no TV, of that sort, during the 20's or 30's. haha, oops.
  10. well, even if no one else here saw that in the movie, it was good, and i would recommend checking it out, if not just for a peek into what it was actually like during the red scare in the 1920's and 30's. as for the rather analogy, i know i was reaching, so i guess i am paranoid.
  11. oh i see. because i am calling this ram-job what it is, im a racist. makes total sense, since i dont have a liberal view on the issue i must be ignorant, backwards, racist and intolerant. i probably also live in the country and not the city, right?
  12. they just passed a law in MI that says people protesting dead soldier's funerals have to be X feet from the grave during the service. that group is just wrong though, I feel so bad for the family of dead soldiers who had to endure their b.s.
  13. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) didnt that guy invent the internet too?
  14. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) The thing about Grand Juries is that we won't really know until the trial happens. I was listening to the Fan in NYC last week and they were talking about this case and whether or not the punishment of losing the season and coach was appropriate. And they had on some columnist or something from that area who said that there had been a long stream of complaints and allegations regarding the LaCrosse team and that there was a "culture of entitlement" there that the administration had seen the coach perpetuating. At least that's what I thought I heard, I was half asleep. yeah, i heard about some interview with a grad student at duke who said there is a "culture of rape" at duke. what the f***?! thats total bulls*** and everyone knows this. we are talking about duke university here, culture of rape is a bunch of femnazi bulls***. this is all a ton of bulls*** and the DA is hoping to railroad some kids who are white and well off so that he can get elected by people who arent. i hope this case falls flat on it's face, and that all of the players sue for malicious prosecution, defamation, and privacy torts. if those two people charged raped that girl, of course they should pay for it, but all facts we have seem to indicate they didnt. but hey, that stripper got a full ride to college for accusing some rich white kids of rape when her proof lacks DNA positive results and she is a drunk stripper. when i have children, if any are girls, i now know how to get them free tuition for college, as long as the corrupt-assed rainbow coalition is still around being run by REVEREND jesse jackson, who has admitted to misusing funds and cheating on his wife while head of the organization. oh wait, since my daughter will be white i guess thats not an option. darn it!
  15. the new cheif of staff is trying to shake things up and replace some people, the desired result being that "change is happening" and numbers will go up.
  16. I saw "Goodnight, and good luck" last night. the movie is about the reporter Ed Murrow's battle with joe mccarthy during the red scare. thought it was OK. we all know what clooney's political views are, but his spin wasnt out of control with this movie. however, i did catch one inferrence he was talking to that i was wondering if anyone else caught. seemed to me like he was making reference to dan rather's resignation, the way he portrayed murrow being amortized/phased out after he essentially beat mccarthy at his own game. or am i just paranoid?
  17. to answer yes or no, you would have to make an unfair and gross generalization of all college atheletes. Whether someone plays an organized sport has absolutely nothing to do with their propensity to commit crimes.
  18. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) I wonder what their agenda is. So a baby at 39 weeks because it has not gone through the birthing process can not feel pain, however a 36 week pre-me can because they were removed from a C section? This is just more agenda based science to make themselves feel good that this is removing a group of cells and not a life. Its the same syndrome that we saw in Silence of the Lambs when the serial killer disassociated himself from his victims by using the word it. I love the fact in this article is a professor of pyschology. He can interview the fetus and ask it it has pain. i have to agree with you. just because the guy has a PhD in psychology doesnt mean he knows anything about physical medicene, especially fetuses. that would be like some academic with a worthless PhD in sociology (a psuedo-science, psuedo means false) telling me about global warming.
  19. this story is bulls***, and it has already ruined the coach who resigned career. of course the media jumped all over this before they knew anything except what a drunk stripper who had no evidence alleged, because it would have been so sensational. i wouldnt be suprised if there are perhaps some defamation or at least invasion of privacy suits on behalf of some of the players (for placing them in a false light). this reminds me of how richard jewel got lambasted during the '96 olympics and tom brokaw said he was guilty on national news. not suprisingly, jewel is still suing several defendants for defamation, and has already collected millions in settlements from other defendants who were smart enough to settle.
  20. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) It is really a terrible, terrible duo to listen to. The game on Sunday against KC, Singleton was talking about going to dinner with Farmer, and Farmer SHOT HIM DOWN! He was being such an ass to him. It's terrible. I miss Rooney :( i remember that, i felt bad for chris. i just think we are jumping to conclusions here. give them some time, like at least a month.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) The players on the field won the games. Not Ozzie. Even he isn't so stupid as to not give them the credit they deserve. And you might want to do a little brushing up on the History of Oz... He had plenty of spats with management, and memorable hissy fits with fans. i was at a spring training game in one of ozzie's last season with us and some old guy sitting front row above the sox dugout called him a bum. ozzie climbed up on top of the dugout and lambasted the old man. it was one of the funniest things i have ever seen. i must have been 12 at the time. this is when the sox were still in sarasota, FL.
  22. robin is my favorite player of all time, i dont care where they put him in the organization, just hire him!
  23. just a tad early in the season for this talk. though i love joe and hope he does win it.
  24. aw, give em some time to warm up to each other. theres no need to be crying "off with his head" like all of you are here. we are 8 games into the season for crying in the sink. And if you hate it so much, why dont you pay $40 to mlb.com and listen to the other team's announcers? like a famous mucisian once said, "if you cant be with the one you love, love the one you're with". lighten up, everyone!
  25. - lackey and colon? please. - johnson and the moose? nothing against johnson, but he got absolutely rocked last year. what makes him so awesome all of a sudden? - zambrano and prior. when prior isnt injured. the one thing that i have to tip my hat to SI for doing on this one is showing prior in warmups, not pitching. you know, since he is yet to this year. this is crap as usual from SI. Im once again glad i dont have a subscription. and i've always thought it was lame that they try to reel dudes in with the swimsuit issue. i can find every one of those models nude with a google search with the safesearch feature off. give me a frickin break.
