http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200499,00.html go ahead, split hairs like the critic in the article. "there were WMDs, but not the kind we went to war for"- bah! time to eat crow.

this is another pethetic and shameless attempt by sheehan to grab headlines, since she used up all her points by pimping out her deceased son

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 11:07 AM) Just some thoughts on this incident that I don't think have been expressed here. The fact that the Feds wanted to wire Grimsley means they basically wanted to move him from being a 'rat' to being a 'mole'. This leads to the very distinct possibility that other players have gotten into a squeeze and the Feds have or will attempt the same with them. There could be moles in several clubhouses right now. Then, you get players wondering about their teammates. A team splintering lack of trust developes. Grab on to something and hold tight. It's gonna be a bumpy ride. i just hope that it leads to bonds.

Kennedy: Repubicans rigged 2004 election

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) Our current wonderful leader. Thank God he's standing by his campaign promise to not speak to Iran. im a pretty conservative guy, and even i have to admit that completely stonewalling iran would accomplish nothing but widening the divide between us and them and making other world-leading countries hate us even more. im sick of iran; but im more sick of oil, the entire reason we have to put up with them anyway. -
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,198850,00.html apparently zarqawi was still alive and somewhat coherent when US troops arrived on the scene. the army is claiming that he tried to roll off of the stretcher he was on "to get away from the US troops". usually i would call something like that propaganda, but in zarqawis case, i'd believe it. im just glad that guy is dead. i also hope that someone stupider than him takes his spot in the command chain for al qaeda (sp?); zarqawi may have been an evil bastard but he was a smart evel bastard.

i think the black panthers and jesse jackson owe those boys an apology. the boys may be scumbags, but this is trumped up by almost all accounts. one thing is for sure, they wont get any apologies from nifong, who used them for his campaign. does anyone know what is going on with that DA race in Durham? i dont have time to look it up right now.

just to remind everyone, yes, this case is complete b.s. http://www.newsobserver.com/1185/story/448437.html

among other requirements, the geneva convention requires that: - soldiers where uniforms - soldiers do not kill civilians sorry, i dont think you should be able to hide behind a law you willfully violate like that. the geneva convention doesnt apply to terrorists captured abroad. oh, and also, they arent american citizens. hence, no rights. you have to be part of the "collective community" of the country (i believe that was the term the supreme court used ages ago) to afford it's rights, a.k.a. be in the country.

shouldnt iggyD be jumping on here with a youtube link to a video made by an east coast college freshman? -

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) Lol, you said you were replying to the other two posts and engaging in a discussion. Now at least you're admitting that it had nothing to do with the topic of the thread, nothing to do with the posts you were nominally replying to. And the fact that you didn't back up your characterization of me with fact 1 I'll take as an admission that you're just pulling s*** out your ass. Which is par for the course. I wouldn't say I have nothing to add. I'm ranting against bats*** crazy conspiracy theorists degrading the quality of debate with their illogical rambling bulls*** nutjob imbecilities. At least that has something to do with the origin of the thread. haha, damn! nice. i know that i have started some inflamatory threads in the past, but please, iggy, enough with the conspiracy theories that have NO validity whatsoever- we get the point!

QUOTE(Texsox @ May 28, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) The United States is Mexico's closest ally. Tourism from the US is huge part of their economy. Maquillas, many owned by American corporations, are a big industry. Mexico exports a huge portion of their oil and gas to the US. Mexicans are migrating in huge numbers to the US. And Fox shouldn't be interested, concerned, and involved in American politics? The US is #1 in trying to solve the world's problems. Fox may be speaking out, but in reverse we would be sending in the CIA, and really getting after it. I think we can stand a little rhetoric from the President of Mexico. vincente fox and his rhetoric can kiss my ass.

specter is a RINO (republican in name only) on some issues

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:53 PM) There, thread title fixed. i agree with what you are saying. sorry to all the PCers i offended.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) I don't think condone was the correct term to use. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Condone = overlooking an offense without protest...I don't know how one can 'severely' overlook something. You may want to change your word choice there, champ. oh come on, first time ive used the word here i can remember...dont be an asshole, man. my bad!
-
this is sickening. i would hope that this shameless move by specter gets some press. for gods sake.
-
iggy, are you just trying to spark controversy here? you are honestly going to say that the president ordered the 9/11 attacks? dude how can you be serious? if you are in the military like you implied, i severely condone the admission standards of our military.

they were so guilty that i was kinda hoping they would get off for some reason. oh well. they will never get more than 9 years apeice- if they do i would be very suprised. the reason i say this is because of the Tyco case and others; no one ever seems to be sentenced to more than 8 and 1/3 years (yes, they may get 8 and 1/3 years to 25 or life, but will they ever serve more than the minimum? NO. will they get out even earlier for good behavoir? YES.

Permanent Bases - and Long Term Iraq Plans
samclemens replied to FlaSoxxJim's topic in The Filibuster
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 25, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) Come on YAS. They lied. So did Clinton, as if that matters here. Everyone here was probably smart enough when all this started to know that WMD had almost nothing to do with our going to war in Iraq - it was primarily a regional strategic play to gain an anchorhead. And now we've reached the point where that has become more obvious to the oblivious public. But they did in fact lie, multiple times, about the bases, and about why we went to war. interesting to bring up clinton. most people here seem to forget that he straight up perjured himself in front of a grand jury and walked. meanwhile liberals in soxtalk squabble over ambiguities to say that president bush has lied. i see no definitive statements, including all of flasox's quotes. no one, including me, is ever going to deny that the president is corrupt. but where is the acknowledgment towards (literally) ALL presidents being just as corrupt? thats the hypocrisy of nearly every liberal argument i hear these days. -
QUOTE(Texsox @ May 24, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) I believe you are confusing Fox with the regime he replaced. im afraid you are wrong. i mean the current mexican government and the administration in place at the time. are you honestly going to deny that vincente fox is trying to keep the border porous?
-
QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ May 24, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) That's sort of like saying Konerko is the fastest regular first baseman the Sox have had in decades. i concur. vincente fox can kiss my ass.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) I dunno, maybe this is the right thing to do here. oh my god did you just admit that?!
