  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:45 AM) We are all involved. It keeps happening over and over again. High school, college. Doesn't matter. And yes, I'm sick to my stomach about this and also for our nation. Perhaps we were too quick to kick God out of the schools. perhaps, but I feel like our entire culture has made this shift because of technology and lack of personal responsibility. School is just one aspect of that culture. So for me, I think it's more about people kicking God out of their lives, public arena, and in addition Churches distancing themselves from culture to "protect" its people. (all big mistakes)
  2. Finally saw Juno. Ellen Page wasn't nearly as obnoxious and pretentious as she was in Hard Candy. In fact, she was quite charming. Enjoyable film for a Valentine's Day Night.
  3. I'm sick to my stomach. for everyone involved.
  4. Welcome aboard rex! That makes 15 of us. I need updates from: NSS72 WilliamT SoxFan1 Pants Row Shadows Max Power
  5. went back and forth between losing and not losing a lb. ended the week at 290. I want, nay, NEED to be in the 80s by the end of this week.
  6. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 09:18 AM) April 10th is the return date. http://www.buddytv.com/articles/scrubs/scr...epis-16672.aspx and I just $hit my pants with excitement....
  7. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 08:23 AM) Hell, friendly competition is guys like PA, he comes close, but Jimbo is way too nice. that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) I kept it friendly, mostly. I'm fine. I'm fine. if someone would set up the dang SBLC forum, I'd just hang out there.
  9. QUOTE(iamshack @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 02:38 PM) They absolutely DID con her. How are you missing this? The credit system is in place to not only protect sellers, but to protect buyers as well. And the credit system determined she was NOT qualified to buy the car. Yet they fudged the income figures, so that she suddenly appeared to be qualified to buy the car. But in the end, they did everyone a disservice but themselves. They conned all parties involved. kind of like eBay buyers and sellers being able to give negative feedback?
  10. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) damn...the silent judgement!
  11. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 02:23 PM) Well, actually, I am more of a libertarian. But, I put that in green because I was joking. I WAS a smoker, but I quit. I used to eat fast food, but not so much anymore. I used to have direct deposit, but I freelance now. Hey, you can have your opinions, but, you know something, so can I. cool, I totally agree. but I feel judged, somehow
  12. QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 01:50 PM) But we all know Americans invented the missionary position. You're welcome! and dudes have been pissed ever since.
  13. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 01:57 PM) You forgot one: People who judge other people. and people who judge other people for judging other people.... oh gosh, it'll never end! gmafb. Let me guess, you're a people should do whatever they want with no regard of other people and probably really into the idea of Universal health care. smoking cause insane amounts of health problems and to boot it makes you smell like a dirty sock that's been lit on fire. Eating fast food makes you big and fat if not on the outside on the inside and causes insane amounts of health problems. So when it comes down to paying for Universal health care...guess where the burden is? not on the sickies, that's for sure. so please, don't give me crap for looking down on people for not taking care of themselves. I'm pissed at myself for not doing more, but that's why I'm trying and working out and watching what I eat. More people need to be judged not less. If parents JUDGED their kids actions more, we wouldn't have problems like this. "Judge" doesn't mean not caring btw. "Judge" means recognizing bad behavior and not allowing it to go on. and not using direct deposit is just stupid. more work for you, more work for me.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 01:05 PM) Because you're embarrassing anyone else who votes for someone other than Hillary enough to make them want to vote for Hillary to spite you and all the other people who think like that. It's the same effect you get if someone comes out and says we shouldn't vote for that uppity n*gro. I have no urge to be affiliated with people like that, and I will happily use my vote to shut them up. hahaha. ok. Her voice is worse than Dubya's that's all I was going for. The fact that I think she sounds like a 60 year old cocktail waitress after a double shift shouldn't have anything to do with who people vote for. My "lesbo" remark was a cheap laugh. take it or leave it. If you found it offensive hopefully my dig on 60 year old cocktail waitresses will distract you long enough. Unless I'm not allowed to make fun of them either. alrighty then.
  15. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 01:01 PM) Sadly we may be watching someone with a serious mental illness. I'm starting to think it is more than just drugs and alcohol abuse. In Happier News... Texsox will be taking the weekend off.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 12:56 PM) Maybe some day, people out there will realize that the best way to keep Hillary Clinton in office and to help her advance is to keep making remarks exactly like this one. because I'm some how motivating an army of raspy voiced lesbiens to vote for Hillary who wouldn't have otherwise voted?
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) Just witness where we go and what we say when tragedy strikes. We are a nation of faith. It may not be all the same and we may worship different higher powers, but we do have faith. That transcends some markings on a dollar bill, actually it transcends those words even when we can read it. Right, "Trust" or faith rather, is why we as a nation oppose waterboarding and cruel actions that other countries do not. It's why we have the Superbowl and NASCAR. ok, I couldn't think of anything else... just kidding about NASCAR.
  18. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 12:54 PM) I can't believe that Paris Hilton and "decency" are in the same sentence. And it was PA who did it. haha, guilty as charged. Paris is still scrag, but at least she looks half decent doing it. When she got out of prison, she looked semi-normal. Brit is a crazy person through and through.
  19. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 12:53 PM) From MSNBC's First Read: I see a trend emerging. Obama's killing off superdelegates? I thought that was the Clinton's go to move?
  20. If she wins, I'm cancelling my membership to NPR....it'll be 4 years of that raspy lesbo voice. Blech. No thanks.
  21. This is why I love fox news.com seriously. too funny. "iss, because I like dee white weemen"
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) But, they won't be. They've already made their money by selling the car and by selling the loan off to some bank/hedge fund somewhere, so they're no longer the one on the hook. And because the bank that bought the paper from them bought it without bothering to do any check on the quality of the loan, the dealer is probably going to wind up getting off without a problem. The bank will be left holding the bag for the loan, they'll repo the car but still lose a lot of money in the process, and then the federal government will step in with a big bailout to make sure the bank doesn't go under. Therefore, you'll get the buyer in jail and you'll pay taxes to run the jail, and you'll pay taxes to keep the bank afloat, while the people who made the loan and who bought and sold it will be happy with your money. Don't you know how much it costs to rent a penthouse apartment in Manhattan, damnit?! breathe man. I'm just saying that people come in all the time totally unqualified to my bank and I take their apps anyway. one guy, who was on a fixed income, wanted to put his "synthesizer" up as collateral to buy a house. I was like, sweet, when you default, I'll start the Van Halen tribute band I've always wanted!
