QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 9, 2007 -> 07:34 PM) Just got back from 3:10 To Yuma. I guess it was a good movie, but I left feeling sort of confused with Crowe's character's actions at the end. even the rotten guy has a little honor (shooting his crew and getting on the train)...even if he planned on saving his own hyde in the end. (calling his horse so he could escape) Ben Foster needs to stop playing Psychopaths...

QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Sep 9, 2007 -> 12:17 PM) Denzel is not making s***ty movies at the moment. To be fair, Tom Hanks hasn't made a good movie in a while either. 1. The Great Debaters (2007) (post-production) .... Don’t know anything about it. 2. American Gangster (2007) (completed) .... Russell Crowe will be awesome 3. Deja Vu (2006) Sucked 4. Inside Man (2006) Story Awesome, Denzel so-so 5. The Manchurian Candidate (2004) Sucked 6. Man on Fire (2004) Story Awesome, Denzel Awesome 7. Out of Time (2003/I) Didn’t see it – from what I hear, I didn’t miss anything 8. Antwone Fisher (2002) Didn’t see it – from what I hear not bad 9. John Q (2002) Average 10. Training Day (2001) Grossly Over-rated...liked it better when it starred Chow Yun Fat and Mark Wahlberg (the corrupter) 11. Remember the Titans (2000) Decent 12. The Hurricane (1999) Boring 13. The Bone Collector (1999) Lame 14. The Siege (1998/I) Decent

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 9, 2007 -> 09:40 AM) Better than the original? Just curious. alas, I wasn't cool enough to see the original. From what I've read it's just as good. The expand on the back histories of some of the characters more. Same story, different take, more or less.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 9, 2007 -> 09:22 AM) Well this is hands-down the most embarrassing thread I've seen in my time in the 'Buster. I won't even bother trying to clean up anything, and instead say this: please, please, lets try to keep away from labelling all liberals as being like Al Qaeda (and yes Kap, that is 100% precisely what you did), and from labelling all the conservatives as brainless or otherwise stupid for wanting to stay the course. And I'll add just one talking point. If indeed the rhetoric being spewed by UBL has some similarities to stands taken by the Democrats... has it occurred to anyone that may have been done intentionally to try to keep the GOP in power in order to sustain the war? And that UBL and AQ have a vested interest in keeping the war going? Just something to consider. I don't think Kap was saying that all liberals are like Al Qaeda. Just the majority oh, is that not helping? how could I not stay away? FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Russel Crowe is the most likable (not lickable) bad ass in chaps. Saw "3:10 to Yuma" last night. I loooooved it. Crowe has in the top 5 best actors alive: (De Niro, Crowe, Pacino, Bale (in tie for first), and tie for fifth with Denzel and Tom hanks. Minus points to Denzel for making s***ty movies now and minus points for Tom hanks for making s***ty movies in the past) So anyway, this film has two of the top 5, PLUS, Peter Fonda, Luke Wilson, Dallas Roberts, Ben Foster, Alan Tudyk, and Gretchen Mol... funniest thing I read from IMDB.com: Eric Bana was in initial negotiations to star opposite Tom Cruise in this film. (Bana would have been decent, but Cruise would have had to use one of those midget horses.)

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 8, 2007 -> 11:39 AM) I think it's safe to say that Shaq's ex-wife is going to be useless to every other guy on Earth. I'm talking pencil and hallway type stuff here. yeah, that's a lot of child births

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 8, 2007 -> 12:36 AM) Hey, I'm not the one saying s*** that used to be what people would roll in their graves over. JFK and people of his time have to be rolling in their graves seeing the Democrat party of today OPENLY embrace defeat in a time of war ALL for political power. It's not for debate, it's not for "the good of the country", it's for POWER. Let me tell you something, since you're too young to get it: when people in MY government openly and brazenly work against people who I know personally that are in harms way by statements like "OH LOOK, WE'LL GAIN SEATS IN 2008 IF IT KEEPS GOING [LIKE THIS]" - that's a mighty f*** YOU. I have NO respect for representatives of MY government who in my opinion border on treason by agreeing with talking points of Osama Bin Ladin. To you, it's just political discourse. To me, it starts becoming personal when I see stuff like this. Then people like you wonder why I get so cynical and "sarcastic" when it comes to the Democrat party. Today's Bin Ladin tape pretty much explains why - especially when I see Schumky Schumer and Harry Reid RUN for the cameras to try and grow a backbone, all for political power. At that point, they are not worthy of political discourse, as you put it. But, you'll never understand, because you believe what you believe, and that's okay, though. Good for you. The transition from ESPN boards was well worth it. Thanks Soxtalk for being my favorite place to love to hate.

Out of curiousity, where would people stand if this story invovled someone assaulting the senator for peaking through the cracks? and by assaulting, I mean punching him right in the face. if you shouldn't get arrested for being a perv, you shouldn't get arrested for kicking that perv's ass. just, my humble opinion. -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 6, 2007 -> 11:39 AM) Do those actions always result in public sex for willing partners, or could it result in "come back to my place"? I guess that is where I am still confused. why don't you come back to my place and I'll help you figure it out *wink* -
Happy Birthday to the one and only Rex.... The image of him eating that steak forever haunts me.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 5, 2007 -> 06:45 PM) For a guy with such a good avatar you sure are a meanie. Case in point though... Timberlake talk = gay to you, though he's actually musically talented and put out a great album. It's not just "I don't like JT" it's "You're gay for even talking about him." JT can SANG and DANCE. I wasn't putting him down as an artist. Just the penis worship that was going on No worries, Franklin.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 5, 2007 -> 11:59 AM) Those are things that are either agreed to ahead of time, or as a part of sentencing. It is incredibly unusual to go back after the fact and change something. It usually takes a gross miscarriage of justice to warrent that, which probably isn't going to happen here. I thought justice was trying to avoid gross miscarriages when they arrested this guy in the first place -
Kinda sad, really. Looks like wifey was putting money on the side for herself. Bee-otch
