  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 16, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) Trading Rios would be about as stupid of a move as there is in baseball. How long have we waited to get a decent CF. Finally we get one and shipping him off for spects comes up. Come on now. This is a guy in his prime with crazy tools. He is about the last person on this team I would ship off. He's the only reason I watch
  2. ALL Fiction I like this post-makes you think, ONLY possible fact is Peavy, and where's he gonna get run support to get 15? Dont see it
  3. Manufactured runs and Long Ball-the way they drew it up
  4. The "freaking" is because this is "Guillen's type of team" and not a typical AL team we have succeeded with. We all knew the histories of people brought in offensivly, and so far, the history is consistant with what we expected. We still are leaving too many on base-we were told this style and these players would help in that dept-it hasnt so far
  5. They ran a nice "Thanks Jim" on scoreboard and that got a nice ovation, but at that time didnt see him come out of dougout to acknowlege. I was down first base line and may have not seen him in dougout at the time
  6. See if you without Comcast Plus have any HD Alt Channels WE have Dish and dont have CLTV and we get it that way-channel 444 tonite
  7. Sorry for what happened to you-and some people think they have real problems.
  8. 85-----only because we may win a few more IN Minn.
  9. His pressure this year is greater because its more his kind of team. When it fails in the AL, he will implode
  10. Gload and Thome in virtually the same pay bracket. What is going on?
  11. I like what Kenny did-this is no big loss if they dont get him-leaving Yankee stadium he wont hit 24 HR combined the rest of his career. With him, we are still not good enuf-so let him go
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 07:42 PM) Do you mean he'd gain HR's going from Yankee Stadium to the Cell? I don't buy that, if I'm reading this right. ANd his groveling back to the Yanks? I think that's because no one offered him anything close to the $ that they offered originally when he turned them down outright. The Yankees bat boy had 20 hr in that bandbox-Damon should not be trying that anywhere else
  13. QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 11:29 AM) whats scary is that they could always put cuddyer back at 3rd and Kubel in RF with Thome DHing though cuddyer hasn't played 3rd since 05 so I doubt that happens...but offensively a lineup of Span, Hudson, Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Kubel, Thome, Hardy, Young....goddamn Basically they are "versatile" with good players We are "versatile" with makeshift average players that are question marks Williams better get off his #@% and do something
  14. The Value of "The Catch"? Thome & Dye # assigned, and not Wise?
  15. Guillen taking Lovie Smith pills- KW has to believe this a wrong move, why else delegate this to Lovie Guillen?
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 25, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) Options for what? Mark Kotsay is very injury prone, so what's going to happen when he pulls a muscle? I'm sure we'll see Lillibridge back up and leading off. And we don't have many prospects at all. Compared to the big market teams that have the resources (Boston and Yankees especially), our farm system is pathetic compared to theirs. I am so sick of "options" and this is a disastrous decision, or did we get moved to NL Central?
  17. Geez-this guy can move here-this guy can hit here-too much emphasis on this-no successful team can do that every day and be cohesive-we have Jones who's been bad long enuf for me to at least consider he'll be bad again, Visquel is about to hit the wall, Kotsay gets hurt a lot-GIVE ME THOME or GIVE ME DEATH
  18. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 02:26 PM) Except you're saying that offense is completely meaningless, if pitching and defense were all it took the Mariners would be the defender champs right now. Believe it or not you do need to bat every once in a while. Perhaps I don't value defense out of the DH position as highly as yourself. Also, Barry Bonds is probably the best defensive LF of all time and Thome was a pretty good 3B/1B in his day Offense is meaningful at our home field and American League.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 12:01 PM) If this is true i'm going to be more then a little pissed off. WORST case senario..........................
  20. Can i help you Mr. ...........Boras is it?
