  1. classic overreaction. it's just baseball. sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's not. that series was not fun outside of buehrle breaking a record. series like that happen in baseball. it's just how it is. let's just hope they can turn it around soon. if not, at least we can enjoy beckham tearing it up. serenity now.
  2. QUOTE (Shamrock4Life @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 07:20 PM) I am sure MLBTV will be showing this in the near future. I'll be keeping an eye out for that, but if anyone gets definite word, please post it here.
  3. Money Mark Buehrle. Just flat out f***ing awesome. A while back I decided that the only sports jerseys I buy are either no name (which only really works for Baseball and Hockey) or a legend. I always thought I would get a Buehrle jersey sometime down the road, but with today's performance I think I'll be getting that jersey a bit sooner. Does anyone know when Comcast is replaying the game? I need to set my DVR. Missed the game since I was at work, but already checked out the Wise catch. Holy s***, ridiculous. Also, does anyone here ever capture White Sox games in HD? (or in SD, but I would prefer HD) If you do and have this game, please let me know. My method for capturing HD does not work with Comcast Sports Net, and I would really love to have this game in it's entirety to watch whenever. Same goes for Buehrle's no hitter from 2007, if you have that let me know.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 06:49 PM) Did not notice that Mark was on-track for 300 wins. i've noticed it. especially since he's not a pitcher who relies on an overpowering fastball. he could potentially be effective into his 40's. although it's a long way away, if he stays healthy, i hope he tries for 300.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 08:55 PM) That comes from NOT EATING. i was actually joking, but yea a direct side effect of not eating is indeed sharp knees.
  6. QUOTE (DABearSoX @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) her elbows are too pointy not to mention her knees are way too sharp
  7. Yea I noticed in the completed auctions at ebay, there were a bunch that sold for about $30. Those have to be knockoffs. I think I'm just gonna try to find a deal on a mitchell and ness jersey.
  8. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jun 26, 2009 -> 09:30 AM) Look around on the web. Mitchell and Ness sometimes has 30% or 40% off codes and licensed sites have discounts too. I've seen the Aparicio and Fox (the one I own) jerseys on sale for as low as $185. Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out for sales or coupon codes. I think I can handle paying $185.
  9. I always liked the 1959 jersey. I know Mitchell and Ness sold one at some point, but $250 is out of my price range.
  10. QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) Season over. haha, hilarious overreaction.
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA DOWNRIGHT f***ING AWESOME BUEHRLE
  12. why is the count already 1-1 by the time they get back from commercial? ive noticed this happening before, its kind of annoying.
  13. Brian Anderson is the biggest name in sports. In the entire universe. Lebron who?
  14. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 10:06 PM) they showed those ladies multiple times on the big screen at the game. anyways, great game to be at, the rain held off, big 3 run homer by thome, solid pitching all around. cant ask for much more.
  15. that last call was hores***. the buff penalty was a bad one though. and they got the lead back. insane.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2009 -> 12:10 PM) Here's Simmons's article on that game. Great read.
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) KG is such a b**** agree 1000% talking all sorts of garbage all while wearing a suit. he needs to shut his trap.
  18. the nba is damn near unwatchable due to the refs being consistently atrocious. someone on boston drives to the hoop doesnt get touched = foul 3 point play someone on chicago drives gets fouled by three people = no call that last foul on rondo is a flagrant every time no matter how much time is on the clock. he didnt make any attempt at the ball. not even close. that doesnt excuse miller for going up soft and missing the free throw. i would send aaron gray out there to clothesline rondo early in the next game. also, the bulls need to learn how to foul hard in general. if the refs are going to call garbage when boston goes to the rim you might as well knock them down.
  19. I have tickets to this game as well, and looking at the weather online looks like the later it gets the worse it gets.
  20. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 01:05 AM) Letting game 2 slip away cost the series. To this day I do not understand the del negro signing... Agree completely on both points. Now I just hope they can win on Sunday and at least make this a 6 game series, if not 7.
