MLB 2021-2 off season thread
This is White Sox tactic A, always -- yield prospects for short-term pitching propositions, not dollars for long-term ones. It's what got us Lance Lynn. It's also what resulted in us giving up Gio Gonzalez, Marcus Semien, and Chris Bassitt, who were all better than the short-term turds they were traded for.

Chris Bassitt has seemed quasi-inevitable for awhile.

ALCS - BoSox / Ashoes
Absolutely. And that turd they threw tonight would've been the starter in Game 4 in Chicago, without the rainout. So this thing would've gone 5 games, with (you guessed it) Lance McCullers starting Game 5 and having to save Houston's bacon. I think we'd look at our series a lot differently under that circumstance.

That was great hitting.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but our guys seem to be working into things a little. Not insignificant.

Truly. Do they ever pull him aside and say: "Hit it to RF"

Look at these cheating dipshits cheer themselves. These guys never paid the price for what they did, and it's still an outrage. They should've been stripped of that title, period. VACATED.

We looked overwhelmed, totally overwhelmed, by the moment.

These are totally noncompetitive at-bats. Do better, guys who talk a good game.

ALDS Game 1- White Sox/Astros, 3:07 GAME THREAD
I don't get that sense. I do think our guys get back into it at home and ride that wave. That's how irrational, youthful confidence operates, and that's our real advantage in this series.

I'm saying it now. This series turns in Game *3*. We're winning this thing.

You mean like passing on Michael Brantley?

Has not been the same since he was hit by the ball in the Oakland dugout. I'm surprised we haven't really focused on that.

9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
Timmy and Eloy never adjusted in their at-bats -- completely susceptible to sliders away because they're flying open. Tim should know better, as he's ALWAYS been a better hitter when he goes to right-center. Eloy's locked in when he's driving the ball between the alleys, too. Robert is the only one of the 3 who saw what was happening and shortened up, despite pulling the ball most of the year. He went to right on the slider. He has really grown this year.

Yes -- after the first 2 swings, Robert adjusted! Man, he is nails this year!

Lemme guess, Dallas . . . the heat? The day of the week? Grandal being back? The position of the outfielders? The infielders? The Cubs fans? The Sox fans? Whose fault is this one, Kuechel?
