If the electors don't pick Trump, that would be an even bigger disaster than Trump being President. Also, I would like to buy life insurance on those electors.

President-Elect Donald Trump: The Thread

QUOTE (brett05 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 08:11 PM) Yes it means to continue to fight for liberty thru political discourse. To not just sit idly by while the liberals destroy this nation. Protest is fine. Violence and ignorance is not. If he was making a metaphor about non-violent protest, then he probably should have omitted the instrument of violence. -

QUOTE (brett05 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 08:09 PM) You wished for our next President to be an embarrassment. You are wishing ill will upon him. That hatred is what is killing America. That is why we are broken. Folks just like you. No, I didn't. I already know that Donald Trump will be an embarrassment. He is right now. I hope that it will be limited to him personally, and not damage our country. I sincerely hope he is able to do things that grow the economy, fight crime, and keep America safe. I do not want anyone's lives to be made worse simply so it can be used as ammunition against him in 2020. Maybe political discourse would be better off if people took some time to understand their political opponent's statements and positions, rather than misrepresent and demean them. -

QUOTE (brett05 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) Read your whole post. Do not selectively read it again. Stop wasting time and tell me what you think was hateful. Tell me why it's the reason our country is broken. -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 06:51 PM) Does Tom Hanks want to run? Who would vote against Tom Hanks? Morgan Freeman for President "I've already been President Twice" Mike Rowe as VP

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 05:49 PM) Cuban will have a lot of the same issues that Trump has. Temperament and not getting his way will be huge problems, along with being extremely opinionated in areas that will anger people. Cuban is smarter and has more self control than Trump. I don't see him writing an angry tweet at 3am or lashing out in anywhere near the same way.

Mark Cuban. No, I'm not joking. - Not a politician, not in the establishment, even fewer glaring political ties than Trump - Already has name recognition - Personable - "Tells it like it is", can be fiery and rile up a crowd - Came from a working class family to become rich, The American Dream - Significantly smarter than Trump, can beat him in debates - Liberal enough -particularly socially- not to turn off Democratic base - Doesn't have any horrible baggage/scandals that I know of - White male (let's be honest, it helps)

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 03:44 PM) Trump's presidency spells an end to the racist, sexist, xenophobic and homophobic schemes of the ruling libtard left. America now embarks on a path of common sense policies that END: the sacrifice of Judaeo-Christian values on the alter of multiCULTist immigration We're ending xenophobia! All we need to do is get rid of all these immigrants and their stupid cultures! -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 01:12 PM) Wishing for him to fail is like hoping the plane crashes because you don't like the pilot. We all want to move forward and get to where we are going safely. I hope the country is successful and he is embarrassing only to himself. -
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:24 PM) More racists upset with the outcome of the election. https://www.facebook.com/mikevscorner/video...62035677230673/ That was posted in September. I don't know when the video itself is from. Gas station on fire?

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 11:04 PM) That was the icing on the cake. His comments about not respecting women and being a sexist was brought up way before that based on his lewd language. Come on. The way Donald Trump has historically talked about women isn't limited to using lewd words. Again, this isn't about specific language.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 11:00 PM) He also claimed that they knew "what was going on" and implicated the Muslim American community at large in the Pulse nightclub shootings. He also said the numerous American Muslims knew the San Bernadino attacks were going to happen after seeing weapons and didn't speak up. All those people had seen were boxes being delivered.
-
QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:58 PM) Ha, good point. Forgot about that. Our President and First Lady have had countless numbers of those people in the White House as role models and first class citizens. But, ya know, #itsdifferent. The complaints about the leaked tape WEREN'T about language.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:54 PM) He didn't say anything about Muslim-Americans He claimed that Muslim Americans were wildly celebrating 9/11. That's a pretty effective way to stir up anti-Muslim sentiment.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:53 PM) People keep pretending it was about "lewd" language and not about him bragging about sexual assault, denying he ever did it and then having a dozen women come out and say that he had, in fact, done the very thing he bragged about doing. Oh, like you've never used the word p****, SS. I bet you listen to a bunch of gangsta rappers who say things way worse.
-
QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) Yeah, just be sure you tell her honestly the things you've said and thought about women in your own life. Cuz i'm sure it's been all saintly and respectable. Jenks, you're better than that. Don't pretend that dudes talking about girls being hot and wanting to be with them is the same as talking about how you cheat on your wife and sexually assault women.
-
QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 09:41 PM) Dude got 52% of the woman vote. More than a woman candidate. Clearly a big chunk of women didn't care about him calling Rosie O'Donnell fat or having some bro-talk with a hot mic. The sexism cry is so overblown. That's 52% of white women. He lost women as a whole by 12 points (54-42).
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Shouldn't they have been worried for what Obama might have done? No matter who is President there will always be groups of people in the United States that are worried. But for some reason it a much bigger deal when those worried are minorites. Obama's campaign didn't involve both subtle and overt racism against white people.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:27 PM) Why is the regressive left doing that now? They're upset and scared of the changes he'll bring. The anti-Mexican and anti-Muslim comments you cited above would be part of that. I'm white, but I can understand why any racial or religious minority would not feel too good right now. It would also include the potential damages to reproductive rights, gay rights, the environment, etc.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) The "white male privileged " weren't out protesting and lighting flags on fire when Obama became President. Why would they be?
-
QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) "James Okeefe has video proof of things but its selectively edited so we cant believe a word of it. Here is a link of someone saying something happened to them with no proof and this is perfectly acceptable as proof." You believe the women who went to the police were lying? Is there any particular reason for your skepticism? Regarding O'Keefe, the man is a known propagandist and criminal who has been successfully sued for his dishonest portrayals of people in his videos. Anything he releases should be taken with a grain of salt. But more importantly, his video didn't even contain what you said it did.
-
QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 09:52 PM) That might have been someone else saying that but clearly there arent any videos. I dont care about the fake Shaun King stories with no proof that are just reports. Clearly we have a lot of healing to do as a nation but its gonna be pretty tough when stuff like this is happening. The article I linked to included a couple police reports of the muggings. Here's another link: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/police-...tacked-43444545 I apologize that there's no video of the muggings.
