  1. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 11:07 PM) Hi all, Any game suggestions for me? I just got the Xbox One. I'm looking to play a game like Fallout 4, but I have noticed some mediocre reviews of the game. Wondering if there are any other games with a similar type offline experience that are running for less than $40.00 (Fallout 4 is running at $25.00 right now on amazon). Fallout 3. Fallout New Vegas. Skyrim.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) Eric Trump is dumber than he looks https://www.yahoo.com/style/why-this-latina...-182621344.html Meh. With her long hair covering the right side, that could easily look like "Latinas Con Trump", which would be positive.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 08:15 PM) Anyone having problems seeing all of the policies? For whatever reason there is no filter for the purple policies and they dont seem to fit on my screen when I have "no filter}. I have tried a bunch of different things but cant figure out how to scroll right or be able to move the box. I assume that its some sort of user error. You should be able to scroll right within that box. There's a slider at the bottom of the panel, and Mouse Wheel Down also works for me.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 06:10 PM) After about 3 hours over the weekend, that's a good reflection of my thoughts as well. Took me until about mid-game to realize I can't cram every building and every district type and have a mad race to build world wonders in every city. Hopefully it doesn't get too cookie cutter with "this is my science city, this is my economy city, this is my military city, etc." but it seems like a good way to introduce some new gameplay on the surface. Civ-to-Civ diplomacy seems jacked up right now, and they're gonna need some patching. China declared war on me 3-4 times and I was sick of it, so I countered and took their capital. The other 4 Civs immediately hated me (even the 2 China was beating up) and declared me a warmonger for the rest of the game. Gimme a break. I finished that first game with a Cultural victory. My cities had become more balanced by the end of the game. Nothing had every district, but none were limited to being The Science City or anything like that. Biggest lesson from game 1: be more aggressive with military and expansion.
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 22, 2016 -> 04:20 AM) Just bought CIV VI out of impulse. Got the deluxe version on green man gaming (if you log in it discounts down to about $63). I didnt do a ton of research on best price cause again impulse. haha Turn on Fast Movement and Fast Combat. It will VASTLY speed up the turns, even when you're not moving/fighting.
  6. First impressions of Civ 6 (from a Prince difficulty Civ player) - Production is SLOW. Feels like it takes forever to make buildings/districts/wonders. I think they're trying to make you move away from all your cities having all the things. You really have to specialize and pick only those districts and buildings you really want. Unit production isn't so bad. - On the other hand, research and civics (now basically a second research tree) go quite fast. The Active Research system, which allows you to get techs faster based on what you do (eg found a coastal city causes Sailing to research in half the time as usual), is cool though. - AI is way more aggressive. I'm on one of the lower difficulties to feel things out and my nearest neighbor China attacked me with 6 warriors before I had even expanded. China and Kongo declared war on Russia soon after. Your cities don't even start with ranged attacks. - The new art style is pretty but the fog of war is horrifically bad. Areas you haven't explored are 100% opaque brown. Areas you have explored but aren't currently in...are 90% opaque brown.
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 10:26 PM) In fact the more I think about it, it would actually raise more red flags if a charity (with no connection to Hillary) gave back money, in an attempt to help Hillary. Because how would giving back the money help the 501c3's charitable purpose? And how would it help Hillary's optics anyway? "Hillary's charity gives $25 million to Saudi Arabia! What's she paying for?!? What charitable purpose does that serve?!?"
  8. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 06:23 PM) They've been claiming that they've fixed that since civ 3. It's just the nature of the beast and they know it. When you end up with 30 different units and you gotta do something with them each turn, the game moves along at a snails pace. I'm not talking about heavy unit/city maintenance, but when you're not going Domination, and the midgame consists solely of hitting "Next Turn" over and over and over while you wait for Research to complete or Culture to accumulate. Supposedly the game encourages you to be more active. I guess we'll have to see.
  9. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 09:01 PM) It wasn't new information and was publicly available/disseminated. It was new to me. She's a traitor.
  10. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 09:01 PM) I don't have to respond to any questions and anyone is free to watch the videos. Ouch
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 06:38 PM) It is the Russians, duh. Someone check the birth certificate for Hillary Rodhamnov
  12. WRONG. Those people just like Trump so much they're repeatedly donating. Besides, why is Hillary HACKING Trump's website?!?!?!
  13. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 06:35 PM) I also never said words you attributed to me. From your post: "The campaign pays DNC, DNC pays Democracy Partners, Democracy Partners pays the Foval Group, the Foval Group goes and executes the sh*t on the ground." The Foval group is a contractor for a contractor for the committee that is backing Clinton's campaign. Scott Foval is practically Hillary's best friend!
  14. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 06:35 PM) What? I just gave my counter argument. You can b**** about sources all day but these people are on camera burying themselves. The Clinton Campaign had to get rid of two different officials. This isn't a matter of me having a counter argument this is a matter of you not being able to assess situations involving your candidate objectively. It's a matter of you repeatedly misrepresenting the facts despite being corrected, aka lying. The Clinton Campaign didn't get rid of any officials because neither of the people was a part of the Clinton Campaign. There are countless Super PACs and PACs and non-profits and independent political groups supporting the candidates. You act like actions any of them take is evidence of malfeasance by the candidates themselves. Why would Hillary Clinton be involved in decisions about low-level actions like trolling Trump supporters? And you can hand-wave the source problem away as much as you'd like, but without the unedited tapes, there's no context for their statements. We know O'Keefe has a history of manipulating videos to appear to be something they're not.
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 06:15 PM) This whole argument that HRC doesn't direct PACs or these people aren't in the Clinton Campaign is such a cop out. It's not a cop out just because you don't have a counter argument. By your own admission, they're not in the campaign - they're at least 3 steps removed. And all this is assuming that the videos aren't largely bogus, which is a HUGE assumption.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 05:38 PM) My only concern is how long each turn will take to laod when you get to the later stages. But Ill get it cause I think Ive owned every CIV since the SNES version. Upgrade your computer, yo. But, I have been hearing that they've made the mid-late game much more interesting and engaging. It's not clicking "Next Turn" endlessly.
  17. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 04:12 PM) So by Trump saying he is going to keep the country in suspense, who does he think he is appealing to? How could that possibly help him? Conspiracy theorists
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) Probably gonna pick up Civ6 this week Same. Played a bunch of Civ5 this month to get reacquainted.
  19. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 07:02 PM) "What difference does it make" if someone works for a PAC or for the Clinton's directly. They're doing dirty work at the behest of the Clinton Campaign. Saying anything else is a cop out. It makes a world of difference whether or not Hillary Clinton approved, or knew of, the alleged actions.
  20. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) All of these people were fired or had to resign from their position within Trump's campaign? The first two did. Ailes is certainly disgraced by any reasonable definition, but sexual scandals can be ignored in the Trump campaign.
  21. Secretary of State: Miss New York, the best state Attorney General: Douglas MacArthur, great general Secretary of Veterans Affairs: Newt Gingrich, veteran at having affairs Secretary of Homeland Security: Keifer Sutherland, has stopped many terrorist attacks Secretary of Defense: Dick Butkus, excellent defender Secretary of Treasury: Scrooge McDuck, never loses a coin Secretary of Labor: Melania, has been in labor before Secretary of Energy: Martin Short, very high energy Secretary of Health and Human Services: Dr. Drew, the very best doctor Chief of Staff: Crazy Horse
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 04:36 PM) I'm really confused as to why Trump is bringing Obama's half-brother to the debate tonight. He's going to run out onto the stage and declare that Obama was born in Kenya
  23. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 05:05 PM) I can't even name one disagraced official in Trump's Campaign. Lewandowski? Manafort? Ailes?
  24. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 07:04 PM) Uhh, I am pretty sure it was reported on Hannity that the guy was fired. You're disputing that? No, I'm pointing out that you linked to a tweet that was photoshopped (a picture of the bloodied cop added underneath Foval's tweet about being proud of protestors) . No one disputed that he got fired.
  25. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) I don't call anybody out. Note I've only heard from two posters so far expressing any disdain at all concerning Hillary. I can't recall seeing a single poster showing full-fledged support for Clinton. I'm pretty confident that every liberal, or liberal-leaning, poster here (including myself) thinks she is a highly flawed candidate.
